Rumbling: Humanity's Soldiers Part 2

Pakki stumbled up, the wound on his stomach bleeding heavily. "He isn't even human..." He held his crescent Cleaver in one hand, holding a giant cursed blade made of Yun'Shul's power in the other.
Faust dropped his now broken greatsword as another several tendrils went for him. The dodged the first few before punching one away from himself, the tendril cutting into his hand. Another one went for his face, which he blocked by putting his hands together and shoving them upward, essentially redirecting the strike upwards. "Those things are sharp as hell... We're gonna have to think of something."

Kevin parried an attack from the vigil, who went behind him to keep his momentum, engulfing his katana in wind to strike at him again.
Kevin parried this as well, backing up and letting the quick vigil attack again, only to be struck by a lightning called down by Kevin, who then stabbed the Railblade into him before triggering it's explosion.
Kevin rushed over to the soldiers still fighting. Some divers were backing up from the battle, never having fought against humans.
"They got reinforcements! We're getting flanked by Vigils!" Kevin yelled out.
"Shit just- just buy me some time!" A Hive soldier responded.
"How much time do you need?!" A Union soldier asked.
"I-I don't know!" The hive drone replied.
Kevin looked over at the divers who were seemingly out of the battle, too scared. "Don't... Don't give up yet! Those people are dying for you!"
One of the divers looked up at Kevin. "B-but... I've got a mom and dad... I promised them..." The diver replied.
"They all have parents and loved ones. They're fighting to protect them! If you want to see them again, if you want to make them proud... Fight, to protect them! To protect everyone!" Kevin responded before going to fight on the battlefields.

Klaris went to go help Pakki and Faust, unsure if they could deal with Zi'eer's power alone. As she looked at the battlefield, she could see Humanity's Soldiers losing people fast to the vigils of Etrea.
Both Faust and Pakki were being attacked by several tendrils. Faust was dodging them, occasionally using his fists to deflect them if he had to, while Pakki was cutting head-on through them, though getting hit occasionally.
Through the constant onslaught of attacks, one orb burned bright, flying into Regent before splitting into a several pieces, leaving holes in his body and giving Pakki and Faust an opportunity to strike.
Pakki looked at Klaris with his normal red eye, while his corrupted black eye stared at Zi'eer. "Klaris..?!"
Klaris threw a gem at Faust "Hey!"
Pakki rushed at Zi'eer as he recovered, slashing at him in an X-shape with the cleaver and dark blade.
Faust caught the gem before throwing several flame knives at Zi'eer, warping to him on impact. He engulfed his leg in flames before delivering an overhead kick, sending Zi'eer flying back.

As Kevin killed another vigil, he heard the Hive soldiers' voice yell out. "Got it!"
As he looked behind himself, he saw a bright cacophony of colours form a massive golem-like shape, before a Hive Construct dropped down before him.
The Hive Construct pulled it's arm back before hitting a running vigil, sending it flying into a wall, making crater.
Kevin looked at the Hive Construct. "Holy shit... You're a lifeweaver..?!"
"Heh... It's the Hive's specialty!" The Hive drone responded.
The Construct rolled right through the enemy forces, destroying the attempts at a flank.

Zi'eer's other arm flew off, tendrils coming out of it's place and stabbing down on the ground from both his arms' places, stopping himself. "Enough!"
Klaris looked at Faust. "You need to get yourself a weapon before--"
Suddenly, one of the tendrils that Regent stabbed into the ground came out underneath Klaris, splitting into tens of little tendrils, all impaling Klaris.
Pakki and Faust looked at Klaris for a moment before she was ripped apart by the tendril.
"Finally..." Zi'eer said.
"K-Klaris...?" Pakki muttered out, glaring at her corpse for a moment.
Zi'eer smirked. "What?... Are you glad I killed your 'little light'?"
Pakki gripped both his weapons, rushing at Zi'eer. "Just hold on... I'll avenge her... I'll do it for sure...!"
"Hey, stop! Think..!" Faust said.

As Humanity's Soldiers pushed forward, suddenly, someone flew overhead, riding a controlled gust of wind. The soldiers looked up for a moment - the perfect distraction for a winged man with a spear to take out an entire line of soldiers fighting Etrea.
Kevin looked at the man flying in the sky, gripping his Railblade harder. "That bastard..." He thought about what the man's presence meant. "KENNY!"
Kevin tried to run after him, only to have a diver journeyman stop him. "Wait!"
Kevin tried to run again. "That asshole must've killed Colt if he's here..."
The journeyman stopped him again. "And he's going for Pakki and Faust next, but those two are more powerful! They can beat him, we need you here!" He pointed at the Starkindred cutting through Humanity's Soldiers. "To beat THAT one!"
Kevin closed his eyes for a moment before turning to Matthew, the Starkindred. "Oi... If you want an enemy, pick someone your own size..!"
Matthew glared at him. "Matthew Rashet... That's the man who'll be the one to end you!"

As Pakki was getting close to Regent, he saw Kenny fly up towards them, the wind flipping him upside down as he focused on aiming. "Just one... Shot..!" He said as he pointed one of his pistols straight at Pakki's head.
He took the shot, the bullet flying towards Pakki, before wind blew it to the side. Kenny's eyes widened, looking to the side only to see the Duke of Erisia alongside Melodias Ytreshi.
Kenny tried to pull the trigger again. "You've gotta be fucking kidding me--"
Wind from the Duke swept him out of the air. "Don't mistake my saving of you for forgiveness. I'm merely doing what this Luminant needs me to do."
"Oi, Faust!" Melodias yelled as he tossed him a skyreap blade - a scythe made from the bones of edenkite.
Faust caught it. "Finally... It's time for revenge."
Pakki tried to strike at Regent, only to be pushed back away by a tendril. "You two-- escaped the depths... How'd you know?"
The Duke looked at him. "Your speech was... Descriptive."

Kevin summoned his arcwarder suit once again, rushing at Matthew who parried him with his spear. Matthew jumped into the sky, using his wings to glide alongside the ground, knocking a few soldiers down.
Kevin used his suit's laser eye function to shoot Matthew down. "Don't think I'll let you use your advantages that easily."
Matthew fell to the ground shooting several magical bullets at Kevin using his spear.
Kevin got hit, stumbling back, though his suit absorbed the hits.
"Just die already, would you...?!" Matthew yelled out, sending a huge spiralling disc of flames at Kevin.
Kevin's armour once again blocked it as he approached Matthew, though several soldiers were consumed by the flames.
Matthew flew up into the sky, slashing downward with his spear, sending a stream of flames towards Kevin before slowly descending to the ground.
Out of the smoke, Kevin dashed out, now without his armour - The enhanced fire blade was a direct hit, but it merely knocked off his arcwarder suit.
Matthew looked at Kevin, trying to bring his spear up to block the attack. "NOT AGAIN!!-"
Kevin triggered the railblade's explosion just as Matthew accidentally but effectively stabbed the spear into his side, Kevin spinning around to make sure he doesn't damage himself with the explosion.
The explosion knocked Matthew out cold.
Kevin slowly pulled the spear out of his side, dropping it on the ground and using his Railblade as crutch with one hand, holding his wound with the other. His vision started to get blurry. Not only was the wound severe, but he was exhausting himself VERY quickly.
