Chapter 15

It had now been an hour or so since I had walked downstairs, and since I have had any type of communication from the outside world. I came to the conclusion that I had ran out of strawberries and I needed to go and get some more so I picked up Mateos car keys and walked downstairs grabbing my skateboard on the way.

When I got to the hallway Mateo and Jaden were there, not waiting but just talking angrily under their breath.

"Hey" I said giving eye contact.

"Hey" Mateo replied, Jaden looked down slightly. I shrugged and walked up to them

"Here are your car keys! I was about to go give them to you but your here so" I gave them to him.

"Ah thanks! Well I gotta go I'm picking up Willow" Mateo said

"Why didn't she ask me?" Jaden questioned, I laughed a bit, he sounded so desperate.

"She said you need to speak with" he slowly moved his eyeballs glancing at me, Jaden followed his gaze and then looked away immediately. "So bye" and with that he walked out the door before I could reply. I started walking back towards the heart of the house leaning against the freshly painted white walls.

"Um" I turned around to see Jaden, his face looked in pain like he was trying to say something he didn't want to say. "Look I'm really really sorry and I want to make it up to you, I want to be your little protector again"

I stared at him and blinked "I'm not angry with you for telling Ryan anything, it's the way you told me, sending me off to Mateos house wasn't going to stop me from ever seeing the outside world, if you had told me in the first place then maybe this whole situation would be over and done with. Considering your the one who put me in hospital and you never even came to visit and then as soon as I'm discharged you send me away. You need to realise how stupid it was and also I now live here. I thought you weren't little" I spoke quoting from the good days.

"Let me make it up to you" he said, his stare boring into my face

"Okay then" I gave in. I didn't want to be angry at him I just wanted him to understand.

He then walked closer to me, we were now face to face. He opened his arms and I hugged him back, I smiled at the sincerity of the hug so when I was released I pecked him on the cheek.

"So all of the stuff that Willow had to bring for me when I was staying at Mateos, I need to pick it all up and bring it back." I hinted to him.

"Sure and we'll go get some lunch on our way" we walked out of the door and got into his car, he started the engine and backed out of the driveway.

We were almost there when he swung a left and we drove through a side street.

"What? Where are we!?" I insisted on knowing.

"Relax, we are getting some food! You see I know how the guys have cooped you up and you haven't really had contact with the outside world, but when you were in hospital you seriously were popular with the tabloids...in fact you and I were front cover of the most popular magazine in the state. So at the end of this road there is a little diner and anyone who's anyone and wants to eat in peace will eat here!" Jaden told me, I felt my eyes widen slightly in a mixture of shock and confusion.

It was true at the end of the road there was a little diner.

We were on our way to Moises house when we made a quick stop to the corner shop to get some strawberries. I had to make the request.

"Do you think we'll be able to fit all your stuff in the back?" Jaden asked me. I glanced behind me and thought briefly.

"Not sure! If not I'll take Moises car and follow you behind" I suggested

"Or we can take two trips"

"Or we could take one in two cars" I insisted.

He grunted under his breath.

"Stubborn" I whispered under my breath. As soon as the silence began we pulled into the drive way of the Arias residence.

I stepped out of the car and closed the door behind me. I walked ahead of Jaden and walked round the side of the house and in through the back door. He followed like a slug behind me. I rolled my eyes and made my way to the room I was staying in. I started packing my things in the boxes and suitcases that they came in. I heard a faint knock on the door and turned around to see Jaden leaning against the door frame.

"Are you going to help?" I sarcastically.

He stood from the frame and rubbed his neck.

"Yes ma'am" he winked at me.

"Very funny!"

We lugged everything downstairs and started loading up the cars. There was enough room in one car for everything. There was two boxes left but Jaden said that once Mateo has picked up Willow he can come here get the boxes and then drop them along with willow.

I went along with it and got inside the car.

"Belt?" Jaden questioned.

"Wearing it" I said back. He laughed under his breath. "What's so funny?"

"I was just thinking about some of those articles in the magazines" he answered. I was beyond confusion.

"You wanna go skating?" He asked me out of the blue making me jump slightly.

"Now?"

"Yeah! Why not it's only round the corner"

"Have you got your board?" We both asked.

"I always leave two here just in case and they leave about five at mine"

We pulled up to the skate lab round the corner of both Jaden and mateos house.

I got out of the car, shutting the door behind me. Jaden walked over to my side holding the boards and we both walked in together.

When we got to the inside lab he walked off in the complete opposite direction to me. I shrugged and got on with my own thing picking up my board heading towards a ramp.

"What do you think your doing!?" Jaden came running up to me all of a sudden, he put his hand on my waist guiding me away. I escaped from his grasp and started to walk back.

"You scared that I can do something you can't?" I laughed.

"Um....no" he second guessed. I laughed louder.

"Sure"

It had been an good few hours before we concluded that it was time to go home.

As we approached the car Jaden opened the door and once I had seated myself he closed the door for me.

"So..." It was silent in the car and I had to try and start a conversation.

"So..." He played along.

"What about some music?" I said whilst stretching to touch the radio. I broadcasted to my favourite radio station and listened to the presenter introduce the next song.

"I love this song!" I basically shouted at him and turned it up. I began singing my heart out whilst laughing a little.

"Ooo, little girl gotta voice" Jaden exclaimed once the bass of the chorus shook the speakers.

We both laughed. Jaden stopped as the traffic light went red.

"So when we get back how about we hit the studio" he suggested. I stared at him, he knew that I still didn't feel one hundred percent comfortable with it.

He rested his hand on top of mine which was on my lap.

"Come on, I'll be there with you every step. Along with the rest of the family" he looked deep into my eyes! So deep I felt his eyes touch my soul and send me into a trance. I blinked multiple times and looked up.

"It's green" I said
