Chapter 6

"Willow, I'm home!" I screamed

"Yay!" I saw her running down the steps.

"Okay what's up?" I questioned her. On the way home she sent me a text saying. "Home. Now!"

"Come with me" I followed her into her room, I hadn't been in there before. The walls were painted a creme colour but most of it was covered because she had loads of posters stuck onto her wall, she had three steps at the end of her room.

"Where does that lead to?" My studio it's where I do most of my song writing. I nodded my head.

She gestured for me to sit on her bed. I sat.

"So Willow?"

"Right! Is there something your not telling me?"

"Like what?" I challenged

"Maybe like your going out with my brother?"

"Trey? No! Why!?"

"Sometimes you are so oblivious" she said rolling her eyes. "Jaden?"

"Oh...no. Why you asking this?"

"Look at what this person put up on their blog"

She got her iPhone out and faced it to me. I covered my mouth with my hand, I couldn't believe my eyes.

'Jadens new girl' said the title and below we're photos from this afternoon at the skate lab. And there was one photo which was zoomed in, and you can clearly see Jaden kissing my forehead. There was another one of the group hug.

I didn't know what to do; I wasn't embarrassed, I had nothing to be embarrassed about, but I was annoyed. I held my breath and got up.

"Willow. Jaden and I are not dating. Sorry" I walked out of her room and closed the door as I was walking downstairs the door opened and Jaden came through. I gave him a brief smile and walked back upstairs into my room.

Once in my room, I took all my makeup off and got changed into tracksuit bottoms and a top which said 'life is rough' with a cute dog on it. I know it's cheesy but it cheers me up, plus I wasn't planning on going out of my room for the rest of the day unless to go to the toilet.

"Soph?" I heard someone knocking on the door. I ignored it, I know it was rude but I wasn't really in the mood to talk right now.

"Sophia, please?" I ignored it still

"I'm coming in" Jaden said and then entered. I had a walk in wardrobe and decided to hide in there, I left my phone on the desk, on my song book, which I instantly regret not bringing with me.

"Soph, I can see you" Jaden said and then pulled me up. I avoided eye contact

"Thanks"

"Anytime. Here's dinner, Willow said you wouldn't wanna come down"

"I'm not hungry"

"Yes you are"

"No, really I'm not"

"Why are you being like this? It's just a blog!"

"Look at all the comments" I gestured to my iPad lying on my bedside table. As he sat himself on my bed and started reading I closed the door and walked back to my desk.

"Has it clicked yet?"

"Listen, girl, half the people out there are gonna hate" he stood up and made his way towards me "the trick is to keep your family close, never lose who you are and eventually they'll come around"
