"Okay. That is a beautiful man."
"Where's the lie? And I like girls."
Buck looked over at the person they were talking about, a very good looking guy pulling his shirt over his head, abs exposed. He looked so familiar to him, he's seen this guy before, he's met him....
Where??
."Who the hell is that?" Buck asked
"It's Eddie Diaz. New recruit. Graduated top of his class just this week. Guys over at Station Six were dying to have him, but I convinced him to join us." Bobby said
"Eds" Buck whispered, staring over towards him.
What's he doing here and what do we need him for?
~ June 2nd 2010 ~
Another nice warm day, middle of summer in Galveston TX. Evan had arrived here about two months back. Another stop on his never ending trip around the USA. He had got a part time job working bar tending on the beach here.
"Three Manhattans" a guy said walking up and sitting down.
Buck spun around, looking him up and down. He was definitely underage, but technically, Buck was too. Kelly the bar manager is very 'no ask, no tell' with policy.. I mean, 'it's summer break, kids will be kids.' Rule. He decided to just make their drinks and start chatting with them about their day.
"What's your names" he questioned
The brown haired Latino boy was very cute, Buck couldn't lie, he was a bit attracted to him. He was very much bisexual, and loved a good hookup. The good thing about not sticking around in one place is you get to meet many, many beautiful people.
"Eddie," the other guy smiled back and reached out a hand.
Buck shook his hand, lingering a bit too long in Eddie's. The other two guys introduced themselves as EJ and Matt.
"So Eddie, what are you doing down in Galveston" Buck smiled
"Just enjoying a good summer break. I'm about to go into the Army" he replied.
"What was your name" Eddie asked
"Evan... Just call me Buck though"
Eddie nodded and sipped back that drink, he was definitely around Bucks age. His smile seemed so sweet, so caring to Buck. Turning around, Buck headed off to care for another two customers who had walked up to the bar. Keeping his eyes glancing over to the cute man across the shop. The way Eddie sipped back on the drink, making eye contact ever so often with Buck made his heart skip a beat. Eddie flagged him down a bit later,
"We're gonna go" he says handing over thirty dollars "keep the tip"
They started to get up and leave, Buck wanted to stop them... Him. He could take a fifteen really fast.... smirking to himself at the thought. Then he looked at the money and a paper was left with it. A phone number was scribbled down on it. Buck smiled and quickly typed it into his cellphone.
'Hey, thanks for the nice tip'
He quickly messaged Eddie.'Ur welcome ;) wanna hangout sometime?'
'Yesss'
Buck slipped his phone away before Kelly got onto him about using it, finishing up his shift and returning to the cheap apartment he was renting. As much as Buck enjoyed the freedom of bouncing around wherever the wind blew. He didn't really have a home. You know, a place to truly call home. His parents were terrible growing up, his sister is stuck in a loveless marriage and was no contact. Having no one to run to.... It's lonely.
