Cake making
"Hello Little Wolf" Sirius greets Rory as he enters the Potters home.
"Hey uncle Pads" Rory says giving him a hug.
"Your mum and dad asked me to sit with you whilst they went out"
"Awesome" Rory smiles. "Can we do some baking the muggle way?"
"What about magic" He moans.
"Nope it's more fun the other way. Please Pads" She begs knowing he won't be able to say no.
"Fine, you know I can't say no when you ask like that. It's my biggest weakness"
"Yay thank you pads" she kisses him on the cheek before running to the kitchen with him following.
"Right what do we need first?"
"You get the eggs and I'll get the flour first" They start getting the ingredients and place them on the counter.
"Hey Wolf" Sirius says hiding the handful of flour as she turns to face him.
"Yeah" He quickly throws it at her before running to the other side of the counter "its on" Rory says with a smirk grabbing her own handful of flour and chasing him around the kitchen. By the time they've finished everything is covered including them.
"Oh shit" Sirius mutters.
"We're going to be in so much trouble. Quick Pads we need to get this cleaned before mum gets back" but as she says this Lily walks in followed by James who smirks at his daughter and his best friend.
"What the hell happened in here" Lily says glaring at the two.
"Pads started it, I just wanted to make cakes"
"Excuse me missy but I threw one handful of flour at you and then you're words were it's on"
"Enough. You will both clean this up now and Sirius give me your wand, you can do it without magic" Lily holds out her hand for his wand which he hands her.
"That's so unfair" Sirius moans as Lily leaves. Rory walks over to James.
"Hi daddy"
"No"
"What I haven't even done anything yet"
"You're going to ask me to clean it for you and the answers no. I'm not risking your mother's wrath darling as much as I love you" James smirks before walking out.
"Come on Pads let's get this cleaned"
Crush
The fourth-year girls’ dormitory was quiet except for the steady tap of rain against the tall windows. Rory slipped in, cheeks flushed and cloak dripping slightly from the storm outside. Her hair was a mess from the wind, and she was clutching a textbook to her chest like it was a lifeline.
Ang looked up from her bed, where she was half-buried in a pile of Transfiguration notes and a bag of Bertie Bott’s Beans.
“You were right” Rory said suddenly, not even bothering with a hello as she tossed her bag to the side and flopped face-first onto her bed.
“About what?” Ang asked, even though she already had a feeling. Rory groaned into her pillow, then turned her head to the side. Her voice was muffled but dramatic.
“I like Charlie Weasley. And I don’t mean ‘he’s fit’ like him. I mean really like him”
Ang grinned and threw a jellybean into her mouth.
“Finally you admit it. Only taken you, what… two years?” Rory sat up, her face still pink.
“You’re not helping”
