Better than words - 2

'Hi mama' Jennie says as she walks through the door of her home with Jisoo following behind her.

'Hi darling' Her mother, Chaerin, signs back to her, "Hey Jisoo."

"Hi Mrs Kim," she says, taking her jacket and shoes off.

"Jennie tells me you've been causing trouble again." She teases, peeling potatoes for dinner.

'You betrayed me' Jisoo signs to Jennie.

"She talks about you way too much." Chaerin speaks to her and signs what she's saying at the same time.

Jennie's mouth drops at her mother's words even though it was true. "Hi Jisoo!" Jennie's older brother, Taehyung, walks in and ruffles Jennie's hair as he walks by her.

"Hey Tae how's college going?" Jisoo asks him, watching as Jennie cuts her some fruit as an after school snack. Jisoo loved it when she took care of her.

"It's not too bad. But I still have no idea why I decided to take major in engineering."

'Hey tiny,' Taehyung taps Jennie on the shoulder to get her attention, 'Mom says you have a party tonight.'

Jennie nods, 'For Lisa's football scholarship.'

'Don't go getting drunk like last time, it's hard communicating with you when you sign nothing but curse words at me while you're drunk.' Jisoo stifled a laugh, it was amusing seeing Jennie whenever she was drunk.

'That was one time jerk.' Jennie glared at her older brother.

"Yeah from what she remembers." Taehyung murmurs to Jisoo. "Ow Jennie!"

'I can still read lips idiot.' Jisoo cackles at the siblings as Jennie takes the bowl of fruit and leads them far away from her older brother.

Jennie's room looked exactly how you'd expected it to be. It was cosy and warm, neutral tones with fair lights strung on the walls. Polaroids of both herself and Jisoo were dotted around different places on her walls.

Jisoo laid on the bed with the fruit Jennie had made for them to share. Jennie walked over to her wardrobe to prepare her outfit for tonight.

'Have you put any thought into what your English teacher said?' Jennie signed to her.
"A little." Jisoo said, wanting to grab her hand and hold her.

'Clearly you're interested if it's been on your mind. You don't have to write anything personal but I think you should give it a try at least.'

Jisoo thought about it like she had secretly been thinking ever since her teacher mentioned the idea in the first place. If there was one person she would listen to it would be Jennie.

Jisoo stood up from the bed and walked over to Jennie who was searching through her clothes. She grabbed her attention by reaching for her hand and intertwining their fingers, cupping her cheek with her other hand and looking her in the eyes.

'If I do it will you do it with me?' Jisoo asked her, declaring the idea that she had been contemplating.

'You want me to do it with you?' Jennie furrowed her eyebrows.

'Yes, sign what I'm saying. I'd feel better if you were with me.'

Jennie smiled and kissed her softly, she loved her more than anything and the small things Jisoo came up with never ceased to make her heart pound.

'I'd be happy to do that my love' Jisoo let out a sigh of relief.

"I love you." She presses her forehead against Jennie's and embraced her.
