a haibun
When the slithering orange lights illuminated the skies, I was there in the middle of two choices: tormented. Torn between, running across the pavement and taking my journey back to your embrace or moving forward, away from you without looking back. It took me an ounce of courage and strength to pick the best choice for me, even if it does not mean that I no longer have the novelty of being with the person I long to love.
Diverging roads welcomed me,
I took a step to
the road full of thorns.
