"Step forth Marquel," by that time Cassius was next to Valentina and was holding her hand and they couldn't be happier, they knew that Magnus had given his blessing and they could continue with their plans although when they entered through the castle doors Valentina could have not cared if he said yes or no. She wasn't asking for his permission, she went to this so-called 'family' dinner for Darius's sake, and also for the memory of her parents.
"Marquel, as the man that has found his mate in my other granddaughter I bestow her other father ring unto you, as well, do you accept this ring as a compromise to me as her grandfather as well as to the memory of her deceased parents that you will care, love, honor and respect her always. When there is trouble you shall willingly place your life ahead of hers. And remember once you break this promise death shall befall you, as such knowing all this, do you accept this ring?"
"Elder Magnus, Isabella has made crystals of love form where I never knew someone would. Only she has illuminated with the light of love my heart that has been tenebrous for eons and shown the way for a beautiful relationship between us. I am yet to mate and mark her but that is my desire. To make her mine, to make sure that she be mine and no one else for my heart only speaks her name and my lips whisper her kisses. My life is meaningless without her and as such Elder Magnus, my life would be first at the touch of a blade, at the first spill of blood, at the wisp of ash. I do unto promise to care, love and honor and above all respect my beloved in the eyes of everyone present."
Magnus knew these two were the ones intended for his granddaughters by the words they had spoken. They didn't talk like teenagers with puppy love but men in love went to the heart of things and expressed what was in their hearts without caring if their parents or soon-to-be wives were there. They reminded Magnus when his son Lucius was asked to Celestina's home and he received his ring from her father.
Magnus wondered why his granddaughters were so quiet especially Valentina after they came back from the restroom and the only thing that came to him was that she had, had a vision from her father and if that is what had happened the time was closer than he thought and the girls needed to get in tip-top shape soon.
"Valentina, Isabella, are you surprised that I have accepted? You are quiet." Valentina knew what her father told so she would answer respectfully, "Elder Magnus, with all due respect, I don't care if you accept or not because do only one who would have to say something in Isabella's relationship is me as her sister and I have already approved it and I am of age when it comes down to it the only thing we need of you is that you bless and bestow our father's rings to our soon to be mates."
"You do have a wicked and sassy tongue don't you granddaughter." All in the room either giggled or laughed as they nervously looked at Valentina. Isabella placed her hand on her forearm to absorb her anger. "Sis, let it go for now, remember what Dad said, for him and Mom let's try okay?" "Yes, I will try but Magnus makes it hard and I think he does it to see what powers we have." "Well, you're making it easy for him to know when you blow up, so calm down and take it easy before this castle falls on us."
"Valentina, you and Isabella will receive your mother's rings at the Regal Bloodline Ceremony that will take place at the coming of the next full red moon where the Council will anoint you both as the only pure breed vampires procreated from fully turned moroi and moroaică marriage. That is when in front of all those present the Council will ask all those to acknowledge you both as the only heirs and sole leaders of the Malkavian house and the uplifted Malkavian Lucian Coven. The Council will also in the eyes of all present have all this written in the Book of Life." The girls could see that Magnus was keeping his word and it was up to them to keep theirs.
