Valentina looked at him and at seeing the smile he had on his face and the shine in his eyes she knew something good was to follow today's fiasco but what it was she didn't know but as long as it was good she didn't care. Everybody deserves a happy ending after everything Bartholomew has done.

All this time she hadn't even bothered to find out if Magnus had ever had a mate or for that matter find out if her father had a mother, when Magnus brought up the subject and told them his suspicions, she instantly felt that same way she saw visions of how she was killed and kept it to herself she would leave that for a later discussion. Now she understood why Magnus would keep his distance, and understood why he kept them away.

Just then someone else knocked at the door bringing her out of her thinking 'fog.' Valentina knew it was one of the guards and yelled out, "Enter," her grandfather with this could see that Justiniano had not lied to him and they indeed possessed the power of telepathy. He had also noticed Isabella's smile and he knew it must have been at something that Valentina had said to her. It would be of great use to both of them on the battlefield against Bartholomew if they had the power of telepathy.
