Chapter 13. The conclusion is upon us. I will most likely take a one month hiatus after this book is over so I can continue working on the next one. There are 2 sort of "mini," books that are important to the overall cannon. They will be releasing after that one month hiatus is over! For now, enjoy, and thank you for reading in another world with Chaos.

Along with the man with white hair, three other figures emerged, one was clad in a barbaric outfit, large bones clasped to his arms and legs, and a giant flaming ram-like skull attached to his chest. Blue fiber segmented the area's where he didn't have the bones, and a large chain clasped itself to a massive blade that was held up by his back. He had blue and black hair, and two twisted bat-like wings attached to his back, armored in a metallic substance with bones at the ends where the talons would normally be. The more fleshy bits to his wings were a deep voided black, and the actual bone part of his wings were a sinister dark blue. An evil smile was held on his face, and several bolts of blue electricity gathered in his hand.
The man with the dual blue and black hair stepped forward.
"Thank you for you... accommodations, Jared." He said, his smile fading as he looked at the nearby havoc and ruin. "Your generosity is... appreciated."
"I'm surprised Allistar would call for help from such an important person like you Alto, you're usually busy killing innocent realities." Jared remarked.
"Busy? I haven't been busy since the day you left." Alto responded somewhat darkly. "I can't forget how hard you made me work back when you were still working for your fa-" He narrowly avoided the piercing jab from Remnant of Reality.
"He's not my father." Jared coldly stated.
Alto only smiled.
The next figure, in the middle between Alto and behind the man with the white hair was clad in a shiny silver bulky breastplate. He had heavy armor that only a titan would wear, and seemed to be a massive 7'10. On his back he had a gigantic steel cleaver, one that seemed too large for even a man of his dexterity to wield. Upon his head he wore a jagged helmet with two pointed spikes jutting out in opposite directions on the sides of his head. Upon the tips of the two spikes, red fire seemed to spiral endlessly.
He was the next to step forward, waltzing outwards to the Ageloids who all instinctively clutched their weapons.
"Combat... Practice?" He spoke darkly.
"Back off bitch," Matthew spoke harshly, a green javelin forming in his hand.
Achos was about to make a remark, but instead stared intently at Alto, who was still in a stare down with Jared.
Matthew looked to Damon, as the pair stood up tall attempting to scare off the impossibly huge man.
"No? A shame." The man solemnly spoke, clutching the large blade attached to his back.
"Silver, stand down." The third man spoke.
A large "R," found its home on this man's chest. Brown hair spiked from the top of his head, which was not guarded by some sort of armor, but instead left open. The man had green eyes and tan skin. He had noticeable muscles behind the purely purple outfit he had on, but no weapon to be found on his back.
I walked over to Jared, and asked him a simple question.
"What's the deal with these Ageloids?"
"They aren't Ageloids, they're praetorians. The blue one is Alto, Executioner of Allistar. The silver one is, ironically named "Silver," the leading Ageloid trainer. The final one is Reason, Allistar's locksmith. Along with Trex, they lead Allistars conquest, and as for the one with white hair..."
"Allistar Aiken, pleased to finally meet you face to face, Black." Allistar smiled, a genuine grin on his face.
Allistar had white hair, and a gold crown on his head. His skin was completely pale, and on the visible parts of his body, veins jutted either red or blue. He had a golden cape on, and royal purple clothing that seemed to compliment his already noble look. He had no weapon, similar to Reason, however, opposed to the three behind him, he held himself well and acted very regal.
"Now then, I've come to collect my s-" He was interrupted by Jared's glaive very nearly hitting him if not for Silver jumping in the way to shield him. "Well, clearly I've overstepped my welcome," He chuckled to himself, "Maybe these two havent."
From the portal behind them, a man with pure golden armor, and green fabric woven between stepped out, causing several large green bolts of lightning to strike the ground.
Similarly, a blonde girl wearing purple as well as shiny greaves and grasps waltzed gracefully through the portal. She looked at Jared as he looked at her. Jared quickly severed his arm, forming Ashweaver, and then sheathed the blade at his hip, his hand on the hilt at the ready.
"Easy there Delta, we don't want to hurt you, or well, I want to fight you, but the idea here is to not hurt you." The green and gold man said.
"Beta, you always were annoying, just shut up already," Matthew remarked.
"You'd talk to me in such a way Zeta? Maybe after all this time you finally grew a pair."
"The names Matthew dumbass, but you probably wouldn't know because you've been too busy sucking Allistars' dick to care."
Beta lurched forward falling to Matthews taunt, but he was easily thwarted with a golden knife impacting his arm and sending him flying to who knows where.
"Thanks for that one Cherish," Matthew smirked, dusting off his hands.
"Yeah yeah, just, don't taunt the second strongest Ageloid next time."
"You know I can't do that."
I looked to Jared who stared the blonde girl in the eyes. The girl's golden eyes threatening to form tears, all the while Jared stood resolute.
"My, there seem to be a lot of you defectors here," Allistar smiled, "Let me get a few others."
Three figures walked through the portal, upon seeing the first, all the present Ageloids, mind you even the one Jared was having a stare down with, grimaced.
"I'm back, just like I said I would be."
"Please Omega, just leave again, you're wasting oxygen being here." Damon remarked.
"SHUT UP!" He responded hatefully.
The two other figures that strode out the portal were cloaked in a brilliant gold light, and a pitch black light respectively.
Allistar clapped his hands together, and the blonde girl Jared hatefully stared at pulled out a large keyblade, and closed the portal.
"Now then, let the main event commence!" Allistar shouted.
Instantly Matthew was down for the count as Beta burst from the sky, slamming down on top of him. Jared rushed at the blonde, and the black and gold cloaked figures kept Damon and Cherish preoccupied. Achos attempted to assist the pair, but was overwhelmed by the blue preatoeron, Alto, rushing him down. Kianu rushed to Achos's aid, but was cornered by Silver, and Sam, who had gained a certain attachment for Achos similarly rushed in to assist the red and black boy, but was short sighted by Reason miraculously appearing and tripping him. Everyone had their match met except for me, and my opponent looked at me with eyes that could cut the very Earth in two.
"So you're the notorious "Black," the one who killed the son of a bitch Jared, and the legendary "Hero of Earth." He rushed forward and kicked me, but I had already raised my guard to stop him. "What a load of bullshit."
"What are you? The discount Ageloid? Your fit," I motioned to his red and gold armor, "Is hella mid."
Omega looked down, and was easily hit by my heavy, icy, punch.
"Bastard..." Omega muttered, "That was a cheap trick and you know it!"
Omega lunged forward going in for a right jab, but instantly I caught his punch, and slammed him to the rocks below.
"Wow, you really are slow huh? You're absolutely pathetic, you know that?" I taunted. To my surprise, the dumbass actually seemed to take the insults, and became incredibly aggressive.
With every hit Omega tried to land, I blocked simply, and dished out blows of my own. Omega reached to his side, drawing a gold Katana, but I easily caught his sword, and then kicked his shin, causing him to fall to the ground in pain. He clutched his blade in one hand, and his knee in the other, muttering curses at me under his breath while he winced in pain.
"For someone named Omega..." I kicked him in the chin, sending him flying back. "You really fit the role of "bottom of the pack."
Omega attempted to sprawl to his feet, but another kick sent him back again.
"I mean look at you? You're pathetic," Another kick to the face for him, "Disgraceful," I delivered yet another kick, "And downright worthless." I finished, sending him crashing to the ground.
Omega rolled back, and then stood to his feet. He lunged forward, bringing his sword down, but a simple icy blade I formed quickly shut his blade down with little effort. He looked at me, half expecting me to do the same. I stared him in the eyes, and then blocked his opposite fist from reaching my head. I lifted Omega above my head and slammed him into the rocks below. Omega coughed up some of what I can only assume is blood, and then rolled out of the way, narrowly avoiding a glaive I made from ice and Ki.
Elsewhere, Jared and the blonde girl clashed, Jared clearly on the offensive.
"Lambda, when we had combat practice did you learn nothing?" Jared remarked, doing away with her guard over and over.
Lambda, who was already seeming exhausted, had no words to continue to add to their duel.
"Speechless? I don't blame you, you've already lost this fight." Jared delivered a fierce kick, sending Lambda flying into a nearby mountain.
"I mean, it's not like you ever could compare to me, I'm stronger, smarter, better..." Jared paused for a second, "What's the point, you already know all that shit." He slammed Ashweaver into her abdomen, but Lambda managed to recover fast enough to block the sword.
"Just... come back Delta..." Lambda squeaked out, just barely managing to parry a diagonal swing from Ashweaver.
"Come back? You know what they did right? What Allistar did?"
"Does it matter what he did?"
"I don't know, does it matter if I kill the thing you care about the most? What if I kill the person you care about more than anything, would it matter what I did?"
Jared lunged forward, his sword clashing with her key. The pair weren't an equal match whatsoever. Sure, Lambda was motivated, but Jared... he was in a completely different league to her.
"He killed Phi because she wanted to rebel against him! Don't you understand? It was self preservation!" Lambda shouted.
"Self preservation? Don't be ridiculous, Mio only did what she did because she found out about Allistars plot to kill her!"
Jared brought his blade forward, thrusting it, with the intention to kill. Lambda used the rung of her key to thread Jareds sword and fling it away, leaving the angered figure defenseless. Lambda slammed the tip of her key into Jared, and clicked it to the right, rendering the ability to call his sword useless. Jared sighed, and then blindsided Lambda with a right hook. Lambda sputtered to the side, clutching her face in pain as she looked to Jared, pure hatred and anger emanating from his eyes.
"Del- no, Jared, we were partners, we had the same goal of peace and prosperity."
"My goal was peace and prosperity, you were too stupid to come up with your own goal." He spoke, landing a heavy left hook on her. "You were always weaker than me, always worse than me, you were less of a partner, and more of a child I had to babysit. As much as I'd like to say we were friends, we weren't, our relationship only existed because you and I were assigned to one another through Allistar."
Lambda let out a tear upon hearing those words, she quickly used her sleeve to dry her eyes, and then stepped forward resolutely.
"Regardless, I will bring you back, whether or not I do it in pieces is up to you." She spun her key rapidly, and then twisted it into a large spear.
"I'm a man of power, show me your resolve..." Jared's hair turned white, and his fists burst with red lightning, "and I'll show you mine."
Lambda made the first move this time, piercing forward with her large key spear. Jared jumped back, ducked below the pointed edge, and then punched the spear on its handle, causing it to fly free from her hands. The spear crashed a solid distance away, but before Lambda could call back for the weapon, she was sent flying back into the mountain from a powerful uppercut. Red lightning flung itself through her body, causing immeasurable amounts of pain as she crashed into the wall writhing in agony.
"Next time you step to me, try harder." Jared spoke, taking a few deep breaths.
The girl slowly broke free from the wall, and walked towards him.
"I'm... I'm not done with you yet," She whispered.
"Really? I'm not convinced, your body seems spent."
She lunged forward with all her efforts to land a left hook, but Jared simply walked out of the way, sticking his foot out and causing her to trip onto the barren soil below them.
"Done now?" Jared sinisterly smirked.
Silently, Lambda stood to her feet, and readied her hands in the default boxing position. Jared eagerly ran forward, slamming his hand through her guard, and straight to her head, sending her spiraling away, still encompassed in that same red lightning. While she was down, Jared waltzed over to his sword, looked to the weakened girl, and then sheathed the blade.
Lambda ran forward, throwing a right hook which was easily dodged, but landing a left uppercut to Jared, which admittedly did send the man flying a fair bit, but it didn't hurt him nearly as much as he had hurt her with several red bolts of lightning coursing through her fist.
"I set up red lightning at the exact point of impact. Try fighting me when you can resist a little static."
Lambda fell to her knees, clutching her hand in pain, but Jared followed suit, looking down to his abdomen where a large hole lay. Lambda's weapon lay in a nearby tree as large splotches of blood traced the ground. She had managed to throw it at him while his back was turned, he was too busy monologuing to hear the incoming weapon.
"No matter what... I'm bringing you back," Lambda said, clearly exhausted.
"No matter what, I'm not going back." Jared responded, standing to his feet, the wound now being healed.
Now that she had inflicted some semblance of damage, Jared was serious. He lifted his hand in the air, Remnant of Reality quickly appearing in it, and using his left hand, he unsheathed Ashweaver. He held the two weapons menacingly as Lambda materialized hers out of the tree it was lodged in.
"I take back what I said, this might pan out to be quite interesting." Jared smirked.
Nearby, the pair of Beta and Matthew crashed to the ground. They were at each other's throats, however Matthew knew that if he didn't play his cards right, he'd be the loser of this battle. Wagging his finger, Matthew was covered in a brilliant white light as he realized what power he had. Similarly Beta looked in horror at the sheer power Matthew now commanded. When the bright light cleared, three white orbs spun around Matthew.
"So Beta, I have three cards, the Tree of Life, Eden, and Divinity, which would you like to experience first?"
Beta thought to himself, 'This is the first round, I just have to last one minute, and then this power is over.'
"I'm waiting, don't tell me you want to die with regrets."
"Hit me with all three, I'm not a pussy."
"So be it."
Instantly, Matthew was shielded behind a white veil. A large tree erupted from the ground, its roots grasping towards Beta while white spores emanated from the monstrosity. Finally, a giant sphere of white light enthralled the battlefield for a good three miles.
Beta looked excitedly at the challenging fight that befell him up ahead. He reached to his hip, pulling out a green and gold sword, and then brought it down on the nearby brown ancient root that had attempted to grab him. It was easily severed, but the problem lay in the multitude of roots that continued to attempt to grasp at him, never relenting for a second. Beta however was conditioned to difficult challenges. As large tree root after large tree root rushed down at him, he made easy work at chopping the hulking objects to shreds. However, the spores were the next issue. Beta knew what would happen if even a single spore made contact with his skin. The white flecks of pain were a simple yet powerful method to instantly eradicate whatever it touched.
Beta weaved and dodged, narrowly avoiding an immeasurable amount of spores slowly floating down onto the ground below. The white sphere around the pair did nothing to ease the difficulty of his task however. Eden was a powerful attack that let the user of it completely shape and change the terrain within the dome. Not to mention, the user also had the ability to completely change the position of the dome mid fight, and augment themselves. Eden was a frighteningly powerful attack, especially if it was in the right hands. Matthew was nothing but the right hands. His intellect, his strength, everything he had specialized in strategy and power, the match was one just as soon as Eden was deployed.
Beta knew Matthew was strong, especially since he had landed on a power such as Eden, he also knew that thanks to the augmentation, Matthew would continue to use Phi's powers as long as he had energy. If Beta wished to win, he'd have to knock Matthew completely out.
Beta flew around the tree, avoiding root after root from the tree. The spores were a nuisance, but weren't the primary issue, it was Eden that was the main issue. Matthew continued to shape the terrain to whatever made him the stronger player. After every pulse of white energy, Beta would find himself staring down a wall of dirt and grass, or a barricade of trees and rocks. Granted his sword made quick work of the obstacles, but every second he was preoccupied, was another second he would be hit by one of the dangerous spores.
The final hurdle that stood in Beta's way was the aptly named "Divinity," an ability so strong that it made someone like Allistar struggle. All things considered, Beta was an Origin class Ageloid, as well as debatably the most powerful Ageloid, but he still was nothing compared to Allistar.
"Why do you care so much about winning Zeta?" Beta shouted over the commotion.
"My name is Matthew, not Zeta, and I'm doing this, not to win, but to put forth my fair share." Matthew responded.
"Oh really, and what might that be," Beta slashed through the nearby wall Matthew erected.
"Tell ya what, I tell you my motivation, and you tell me yours."
"If you last long enough to hear mine, go ahead."
"Very well."
The white dome around them transformed into a starry night sky, with a brilliant green star shining overhead. At the bottom of the tree of life, Beta saw several figures laying, watching the star.
"We were all kids when it happened, hell even with his age, Jared was a kid too." Matthew began, not letting up on his assault to Beta.
Beta slammed through wall after wall, every second, the white spores got closer and closer, as he attempted to get an opening on Matthew.
"The brilliant star above radiated some sort of feeling on all of us, it might've been a prophecy of sorts, or some form of foresight, but..." Mathew took a moment to breathe, sending more tree roots after Beta, "It was something, fortuitous, a dark premonition befell all of us."
The figures at the base of the tree, all bathed in green light, began to writhe in pain. Matthew was the first to begin feeling an indescribable pain. He clutched his heart ferociously, screaming in agony. The next was Cherish, who screamed upon feeling the middle of her face, and continued to trace up and down her body. Damon followed suit, feeling all over his body, only to be met by pain from everywhere. Mio was the next, her individual cells burning. The light soon fell on Jared, however he simply brushed it off as if it were nothing, and moved the other 5 Ageloids out of the light. Alongside him, Achos followed suit. It wasn't that the pain didn't affect them, it was that the pain was tolerable for the pair.
"The Archons star was known as an oracle, you feel exactly how you die, but you don't know when you die." Matthew emphasized, bringing up wall after wall as Beta crashed through each and every one. "In the end, Jared and Achos managed to sneak us back home, but on their way back in during the final trip, he was caught and took the fall for us."
Several large tendrils from the tree began to rise up, it was clear Matthew was getting tired as large leaves from the tree began to fall. The veil of light that protected him from harm began to flicker, and the dome from Eden flickered to the same rhythm.
"I gotta end this fast," Matthew mumbled to himself before continuing. "I listened in to the conversation Allistar sparked with Jared. As you know, we Ageloids are divine, and anyone would pay handsomely to acquire one of us for their own collection. It was dangerous to go out that night, so Jared was punished severely. He and his partner, Lambda were to work for Allistar nonstop for centuries. This was his, and all our punishments."
Branches from the tree began to crash down as the dome from Eden slowly retracted its distance. Beta slashed away at tree root after tree root, and flung away any sort of spore that drifted towards him. He was getting close to defeating Matthew, and they both knew that fact.
"I caused Jared to drift away from our group, and it's haunted me ever since, so I'm gonna fix this all." Matthew concluded, dodging away from the now falling tree.
Beta was impacted by the tree, and fell on several of the spores all assembled neatly on the floor. He screamed in agony as the pain from the spores threatened to knock him out, but bearing through, he lifted the mountain sized tree off himself, and flung it away. It crashed further away in the distance, and brought in a large smoke cloud. Taking advantage of the cloud, Mathew crashed into Beta, delivering a right hook, then a left, opting into a right uppercut, then a right jab. Beta was short sighted, but he did a tactical stepback, kicked the air, and sent Matthew flying into the nearby field of trees. Matthew crashed through tree after tree, the final part of his shield from Eden fading, as he was met from the massive impact Beta had condemned him to. Beta rushed forward, grabbing onto Matthew, and repeatedly slamming him into the ground over and over, endlessly. By the time all the dust settled, Beta had one, and Matthew was out completely cold.
"Guess you won't get to hear my story after all." Beta said quite coldly, walking away from the unconscious Matthew. "But you put up a solid fight, I'll leave you alive, come fight me again in the future.
"You done yet?" I said to a now pinned Omega.
"I won't stop, not until I get to kill Delta myself." Omega mused out of breath.
We had clashed for an extensive period of time. The vials on my arms indicated that just an hour was left on my boost. I slammed Omega to the ground, covered in whatever blood and liquid still remained inside his body. Omega was by no means strong, in fact, I'd have to say he was probably the weakest enemy I had ever fought. But he was also the most persistent. Every hit I landed, no matter the impact, he stood back up. He was relentless, and so was I.
Omega rushed in again, earning an easy kick to the gut from me, and he collapsed down just as quick as he rose up. Omega tried once again to fight me, lunging forward on the ground to try to trip me by gripping onto my ankles, but I kicked him away easily. Omega flew off to the tree line, his back slammed against a large pine tree, and he let out a large pool of blood from his mouth. He crashed to the ground, completely on all fours, and then rolled to the side, panting out of breath.
I slowly walked over to him, hoisting up high with a green string, and let loose a fury of punches to his abdomen. Omega writhed in pain, but still continued to struggle, attempting to break free from the green prison he found himself in. I delivered a swift uppercut, and his helmet was quickly sent flying from his head. Underneath a boy with brown hair, and green eyes stared at me with utter disdain.
"Hey Black," Omega started, "Ever heard of split personality disorder?"
"Indeed I have, what about it?"
"The Omega you were just fighting, he's the one in charge when the mask is on, but when the helmet is knocked off..." two golden wings burst from Omega's back, and the green string that bound him was severed instantly. "I take over, you can just call me "Overload," prepare yourself for the real fight."
I jumped back, formed a pair of icy glaives, and readied myself for the coming folly. Overload made the first move, teleporting in front of me, I quickly blocked his left cross, but was knocked away with a right hook. I slammed my glaive into the ground, kicking up gray rocks as I slid back. Overload raised his wings, firing out a barrage of 48 microrockets, and then followed that up with closing the gap between the pair of us. I spun my right glaive around, destroying rocket after rocket, and then narrowly parried his strike, my footing being set back a few feet thanks to the amount of impacts. Overload once again initiated another attack, teleporting in front of me, landing an uppercut, causing me to release the left glaive and launch into the air. I corrected myself quickly, but was met by a flying kick to the abdomen, sending me crashing to the ground. Before I could get up, Overload was already on top of me, slamming his hands into my face. I cocked my arm back, charged it with Ki and ice, and then thrust it towards his head. A deafening crack was heard, and Overload was sent flying into the nearby treeline.
I got to my feet quickly, and narrowly dodged under a now behind me Overload. I sweeped his legs from behind, and slammed my glaive into his stomach. Overload jumped back a bit, and then pulled the glaive from his body. He whipped the glaive around, pointed it at me, and then threw it. I pulled my other glaive from the ground, and threw it at the large glaive that encroached on me. The pair slammed into one another, and caused an icy explosion, the rock's below us becoming covered in ice and snow. Overload lunged forward, opening up with a right uppercut, but was met by a left hook from me, our punches hit one another, and then we were both sent flying back. I slid to a stop on an icy patch of ground while Overload slammed into a nearby tree again.
Overload raised his wings up, sending several volleys of microrockets. I formed a katana, and cut them all to pieces, and then sheathed and unsheathed the blade, using a quick sever attack. Overload didn't see it coming, and was cut clean in half. Overload's top half quickly teleported above his bottom half, and the two parts quickly reattached one another. The reformed Overload teleported forward to attack me, but I back stepped at the last second, causing him to lose his footing on the uneven icy ground. Overload fell to the ground, and I quickly grasped his leg and threw him to the forest. Several trees were knocked off their stumps, and a large cloud of dust arose from the forest, highlighting where Overload's path was made. Overload warped out of the forest, his body bruised and bloodied, but still functional. He went in for a high kick, but I quickly gripped onto his leg, and slammed him to the ground. Overload attempted to kick back at me, but he missed, and I landed an ax kick on his back.
I reached at my hip for the icy katana, and Overload struggled to free himself from my grip. I aimed the katana straight for his heart, and Overload began to rapidly jolt absurd amounts of electricity. Electricity began to course through me, hurting me A LOT, and the entire forest around the clearing was set alight. Overload's armor finally exploded in a burst of red veins, and the body of Omega, and by extent, Overload, was all that remained. Sizzling in the small pit below us, Omega was out of breath, clutching his heart in pain.
"I under... stand... you be-" He coughed, "beat me, bu...t Over- load." Omega managed to squeeze out.
"It was always useless for you to keep fighting. I figured that your heart was a weak point considering it's the weak point for all humans."
A pair of figures, coated in pitch black, and golden light respectively dropped off the struggling pair of Cherish and Damon, and rushed over to Omega. They quickly tackled me off of him, and quickly rushed off with him in tow.
I prepared to burst off after them, but I collapsed to the ground in exhaustion. I looked to my arms, and the vials were completely depleted of the blue substance. In front of me, Chaos was flung to the ground, slamming into the rocky field, unmoving with Allistar floating above, the cause of her demise?
"It seems you've reached your limit Black, not much of a surprise."
In an instant, I was unconscious.
