It's been one whole month since my last upload! I apologize, but I do want to maintain a certain quality standard in my writing, so I'm stalling as long as possible haha. I hope you guys are ready, cause book 2 is almost done, and we still need to see the grand finale! Oh well, enough of my time, and get ready for the epic conclusion of in another world with Chaos! The final Chaptwr of this book drops August 27th!

Of the violence that had begun, only a few combatants remained. Cherish and Damon were taken out of commission by Ageloid Xi, however thanks to Black taking care of Omega, Xi was forced to withdraw from the battle. Similarly, Black had crashed thanks to the wasserpest in his system. Chaos was easily defeated by Allistar, likewise, Matthew was disposed of by Beta rather quickly. Achos was fighting a losing battle against Alto, which was the same case for Reason and Sam's fight, and Kianu and Silver's Clash. The only battle that seemed to go in favor of Earth's final heroes was Jared and Lambda, in which Jared crushed the poor girl in every way.
"Lambda, it's over," Jared held the point of his sword to a pinned Lambda, "My power, my strength, my everything, is better than your everything. Just give up."
"I can't Jared," Lambda spoke, clearly tired out. "I need to keep going."
"Why do you insist on continuing this fruitless struggle?"
"Because," Lambda muttered to herself.
"You don't even have motivation to continue fighting! Just give up here, I'll still let you live if you surrender now!"
The pair's clash had brought them to a volcano, being Ageloids, they could withstand the heat, but Jared was the only one of the pair that could actually survive the lava for an extended period of time. A small isle of fallen rock in the center of the volcano was their current battlefield, and Jared had it completely locked down.
Lambda thought back to a simpler time, one where she and Jared were comrades, not enemies, one where the pair were close, where he would listen to her wholeheartedly.
"C'mon Delta, we still have 20 more worlds to balance today, there's no time to sleep."
"It's fine, we've been ahead of schedule for the past hour, and I'm tired."
"Sleep when we finish up."
"Tell you what, we play a game to settle it."
"What do I get if I win said game?"
"I'll let you have 1 free favor from me, anything fits into the parameters, and we'll go ahead and finish the rest of the worlds."
"And if I lose?"
"You let me sleep another hour."
"Deal."
The game was simple. Answer as many questions as possible before time runs out. All Lambda had to do was perform better than Delta.
Instantly, the game was afoot. Delta took the lead rather quickly.
"2 + 2 = 4," Lambda whispered to herself.
On the other hand, Delta smiled in response to quadratic equations and sine cosine calculations. Delta knew that Lambda, on the intellect scaling for an Ageloid, was rock bottom. On a test between all the Ageloids to determine computational ability, Lambda had scored dead last. Not just by a slight margin. She had scored a 23, and the next highest Ageloid had landed a 100. She was utterly stupid.
The time ticked down rather quickly as Lambda still struggled on her 5th equation. Geometry.
"If a square's 4 sides are all the same, given that side A is 3, what is the area of the square?" She read aloud to herself.
"TIMES UP!" the game board screamed.
"I guess I win," Delta smirked before instantly falling asleep.
It had always been this way. Delta always found a way to get what he wanted from her. He was incredibly smart, and she was incredibly stupid. Regardless, they made a good team. Lambda loved the time they shared as a duo, they worked well together, and one of her fondest memories in life was when she had first met him.
Even before she was born, her town was renowned for its hero "the legendary Phoenix." A hero said to have arrived when they needed him the most. You see, she never knew wealth, she never knew a full belly, or a warm bed, but she did know hope, and that hope is what propelled her to keep moving.
Her town was always under some foreign rule. Whether that be by a large kingdom, or a small military, they always had someone to oppress them. She was known as a half citizen. Being the product of a quartered soldier, and an unfortunate housewife, she was born being scorned for her existence. Regardless, she still held hope for her future, that it might be better, and it did change. In the past, when the town was being extorted like this, the legendary hero was said to have relentlessly destroyed an entire kingdom to free them. Lambda hoped for the same outcome, maybe not in her lifetime, but hopefully sometime they'd be liberated and finally free. Though they treated her poorly, she hated seeing her fellow townsfolk being used.
Her wish was answered when a blue pillar of light slammed down at the base of the now demolished statue the people had previously erected for their hero. Lambda was about 7 at the time when it happened. She was walking down to pay her respects to the statue when the light hit, and a figure emerged from the statue. The little girl made contact with a strange figure. And once again the town had a hero.
"Why hello there little one, what can I do for you?" A familiar voice called out.
"Are you... a hero?"
"Indeed."
"So what's your name?" The little girl asked intently.
"Delta, and what's yours little one?" Delta asked.
"Mukuro." The little girl responded, "Mukuro Hoshimiya."
"Well then Mukuro, do you mind telling me where we are?"
"This is Trenzalore town."
"Interesting, do you mind telling me why it seems so... broken?"
"Over the past 30 years, since the hero last left, the town was overtaken by invader after invader."
"Huh, well then," Delta said, hoisting the girl onto his back. "You might want to sit back for this one."
Several crudely armed soldiers fired flaming arrows at Delta, but none of them did anything, they bounced off his armor as if it were made of rubber. Delta slowly waltzed forward, and grabbed a pair of the soldiers by the throat.
"Mukuro," he asked, "can you please close your eyes for this?"
Mukuro did as he said, her eyes anchoring down, and black vision clouded her sight. After just about 15 seconds, Delta let her know she could open her eyes once again. As she did so, the soldiers were all gone, all that was left was a pile of ash. What seemed to be a group of around 10 soldiers had become no more than kindling to a fire.
Delta continued down the town, incinerating any soldiers he found, naturally asking Mukuro to close her eyes whenever he found one. By the end of the day, the town had no soldiers left to protect it, and Delta took to the sky in search of more opponents. He found a pair of soldiers, and used quite forceful means to make them talk. When all the information he needed was gained, he let them off free.
Mukuro enjoyed the calamity Delta had brought with him. He was their savior, a hero of both light and dark. Slowly, he had torn through entire battalions guarding a large castle. He entered the castle, killed the royalty, and burned it to the very ground.
When he returned to Trenzalore, he was welcomed as a hero. He had saved the very town, and was rewarded with a large banquet in his honor. Before he left however, he asked the townsfolk if they wished to be free from all this. Naturally, they all desired such a freedom, so he took the town with him. He cut an entire outcrop of their town, hoisted it in the air, and returned to the world he had come from.
Upon arrival, he placed the town in a secluded area, and left them. Before he completely disappeared, he gave Mukuro a blue trinket, one that allowed her to call him whenever she was in danger.
Mukuro had never seen his face, he always wore a blue helmet to protect himself from all attacks, physical and informational. But every time she called him, he always came with a mask completely built in.
She had called him several times over the course of her pre-Ageloid life. Once during a massive argument with her mother, she had called him to get out of the house. Once when she was stalked, he dispatched her pursuers instantly. When she needed help, he was always the first person she called.
But when a new figure arrived in town, he could do nothing to stop them.
"Greetings Trenzalore folk, my name is Allistar Aiken, I bring peace."
The town mayor stepped up to talk with Allistar.
"If it is a fight you desire, our town's hero shall defeat you."
"Oh, you mean," Allistar brought out the struggling figure of Delta, his entire body shredded to pieces. "This hero?"
"How?" The town mayor asked in horror.
"I told you, I come in peace, don't make me cause more violence than I already have."
"Very well," the mayor grumbled, "what do you desire?"
"Ah, negotiating terms already? You are indeed cunning. I shall give you absolute protection, in exchange for a tribute of sorts."
"Tribute?"
"Indeed, I require one of your civilians to be- not necessarily sacrificed, but improved."
"But... why? We're but a town that isn't even a thousand strong!"
Allistar motioned down to the struggling mass of Delta on the ground. "This is his punishment, you've done nothing wrong, it is he who should see the consequences of his actions."
"What has our hero done?" The mayor spoke in fear.
"As an Ageloid, he has 3 directive protocols. He violated protocol 1, "If you find a civilization, despite all moral compass guidelines, do not intervene." I'd be a terrible curator if I didn't uphold my own son to the most severe of standards."
"But what are we to do?"
"Voulenteer one of your own as tribute, host a competition, it doesn't really matter, I just need one-" Allistar was abruptly cut off.
"I'll do it." A teenaged blonde girl smiled wholeheartedly.
"You?" The mayor said in shock.
"I'll do it," the Mukuro repeated, "I called Delta here, so I'll take responsibility."
"Very well," Allistar smiled, "In that case, we shall take you as the sacrificial lamb."
Allistar picked her up with ease, and hoisted her over his shoulder, all the while dragging Delta through the dirt on his way home. When they arrived, a giant castle, floating with a large curtain of gold water, parted. Mukuro was brought to a nearby room, and was deposited into a cylindrical machine. She was knocked unconcious, and when she woke up, the first face she saw was Delta.
"I am the multiverse king, Allistar Aiken, and you are the newest Ageloid, type Lambda. Your partner over there," Allistar motioned to Delta, "Is type Delta, you will be in my service till the end of time."
And from that point on, Mukuro- or Lambda much rather, lived every day happily. She was working with her idol, she had anything she wanted, she was complete.
Well, until he left.
Now they stood, opponents, battling under Yellowstone, a large volcano pouring lava around them. Only one thought graced her mind.
'I need to tell him.'
Jared slammed his sword downward, but she barely managed to catch it. Jared whirled his glaive around, and Lambda again blocked it.
"Jared... I love you."
Jared stopped for a moment, looked her in the eyes, tears streaming down, somehow resistant to the infinite heat, before holding out a free hand. Mukuro took it only to be slammed into the nearby wall.
"I could NEVER love someone who sacrificed themself to Allistar willingly. I could NEVER love someone who fights for Allistar. I could NEVER love YOU!" He shouted, slamming several large boulders down onto her now pinned body.
Jared flew up, out of the volcano, and back to the city battleground. Leaving behind a broken Mukuro.
Jared sped off to what was left of the city. When he landed, he was met with an eerie sight. The 3 praetorians were all standing above the struggling Ageloids he had sided with. Damon was just barely standing, a large pool of greenish reddish blood pooled onto the rocks. Kianu was anchored into a tree, a large, steel spear pinning him through his chest. Achos was pinned to the ground, all his limbs removed, but his wounds cauterized. Chaos was facefirst in the rocks. Black was clean unconscious. Cherish was bleeding out on the edge of the clearing, and the only person left to fight was Sam, who was struggling to keep up with Reason. The latter of which was toying with him.
"Well Allistar, it seems you've dispatched my friends with relative ease," Jared said, kneeling down to heal Cherish's broken body.
"I? No, I've only been on standby until Epsilon attacked me. All the calamity is thanks to my Ageloids."
"Regardless, it seems Mio's plan failed, so the only option is I take you down... here and now."
In an instant, Jared rushed forward, his fist connecting to the palm of Allistars hand. A loud rumble was heard, but neither side felt any pain. Jared went in for a high kick, his right foot soaring up to connect to Allistar, but Allistar slammed his elbow into Jared's leg, causing it to land to the ground and kick up a large crater of rocks. Allistar lunged forward, landing a sickly sounding jab to Jareds abdomen, and then following that up with a headbutt that sent the boy spiraling through the rocky outcrop, and into the flower field below.
Jared held out his hand, his skin hardening as Ashweaver grew in size. Allistar easily dismissed this form, grabbing him, and slamming him into the ground. Jared let out a shriek of pain, and jumped back, his whole body completely cracked, on the verge of shattering. Jared reached to his hip. He grasped onto a blue revolver, and fired it. A large blue beam pierced Allistar's body, but when the light ended, not a scratch was able to be seen. Jared fanned the hammer, a loud "click," was heard as the next bullet loaded into the chamber. He pulled the trigger, a large bullet this time releasing from the barrel. Allistar marched through it, the bullet impacting him, causing him to stutter back, but it still did nothing. Jared pulled the hammer back again, blue sparks radiating from the bullet, and caught the grassy ground alight. Instead of one bullet launching from the barrel, several rapid fire bullets nailed Allistar in the chest. They made an impact, but bounced clean off. Another cock of the hammer, and another trigger pull, this time a single bullet split into 12 mini bullets. Allistar raised his arms to brush off the volley of bullets, but Jared slammed Ashweaver into his left arm, drawing blood.
"All that, and you only managed to cut me."
"Well, you did catch me at a bad time... so I mean."
Allistar pushed forward, and Jared cocked the hammer again. 2 bullets left, and Allistar was still unphased. Before he pulled the trigger, Jared vanished, and appeared behind Allistar. A bright blue flash pulsed from the barrel of the gun, and Allistar was sent flying into the grassy flower field. Allistar stood up, brushed off his now dirty clothing, and continued walking forward. The last bullet, Jared slammed the hammer back, pointed the gun forward, his hand at his side, and his body parallel to the gun's direction. "Click," a single bullet launched out, hit Allistar, and bounced clean off.
"Have you finished yet?"
"Not yet... seven bullets are allowed in this chamber," Jared smiled, flicking out the weapons cartridge. He pulled out the revolver magazine, and then compressed it. Instantly, he held a single blue bullet in his hand, and loaded it directly into the chamber. "The seventh is my ace."
Jared rushed forward, instantly closing the gap between Allistar and himself. He muttered a quick, "good game," and pulled the trigger. A large explosion rang out several times, several massive beams exploded from the gun and the weapon itself rapidly fired hundreds of the beams. A large cloud of debris formed on the impact, but when the smoke cleared, Allistar stood, hardly damaged. Several scratches were present on his skin, but nothing else was visible.
Allistar walked forward to an exasperated Jared, but still, Jared stood tall, cracking a sly smirk, and then throwing the gun. It made impact with Allistar and let out a massive "BOOM!" From the ashes, a large crater lay, and in the center of it, Allistar stood. Jared sheathed his sword, and muttered "sever," and instantly unsheathed the sword. Allistar looked up at Jared, cocked a sly smirk, and whispered, "overrule." Instantly, Jared was pinned to the ground in an immense force of gravity. Allistar on the other hand was indeed hit with a sever, but he brushed it off with relative ease.
Allistar walked out from the crater he was in, slowly making his way towards Jared. He kicked Jared clean in the face, and launched him back, sending the boy onto his back, still pinned to the ground. In the attack, Jared had dropped Ashweaver, but managed to pick it back up when he landed.
"Dawn... Chorus," Jared whispered, out of breath.
A large blue circle of fire surrounded Jared, but Allistar slammed his fist into it, causing the shield to fall. Allistar grabbed Jared by the neck with his left hand, and then slammed Jared into the ground. Jared coughed some red blood, but slammed his fist into Allistars face, the gravity effects now ceasing on himself. Jared slammed his head into Allistars, sending the man stumbling back, and dropping Jared to the ground.
"Are we done with this yet?" Allistar smiled, "I grow tired from your fruitless struggle."
"I can't give up. I mean, look at everyone here," Jareds eyes flashed to all his defeated comrades. "They've all been decimated. Even the allies I don't know all that well. Sam, Black, they fought like hell to win, and they still lost. What I'm trying to say Allistar, is that," Jared's eyes flashed a dark blue. "If I lose here, I fail to uphold the expectations that my teammates need me to."
A large eruption flung Allistar back. The three Praetorians, Silver, Alto, and Reason, all turned to stare in Jared's direction. Several large blades orbited around his body as two more blue birdlike wings jutted from his back. His body was no longer covered in the brown carapace, but much rather held in blue feathers that signed to the touch. His armor also had changed. Remnant of Reality was tightly clasped to his back, and in his right hand, he held the revolver, while his left clenched tightly to Ashweaver. He wore a dark blue trench coat, and stocky looking pants as well as a lightweight shirt that seemed to pulse red lightning from wherever it could manage.
Jared rushed forward, slamming his sword into Allistars side. Allistar smiled in anticipation, grabbed the sword, whirrled around, and sent Jared flying. Jared outstretched his wings, launching out several volleys of exploding knives, but Allistar quickly raised his arms to guard the volley, leaving the attack virtually useless. Jared slammed to the ground, causing a tsunami of rocks to rush into Allistar. Silver rushed in to take the hit for Allistar, but Allistar dismissed him, and blocked the attack himself. Jared slammed through the tsunami, and grabbed Allistar by the neck. Allistar tore Jared's arm from it's sockett, but Jared didn't relent. He slammed his fist into Allistars jaw, a loud crunch emanating from the impact. Allistar stammered back a bit, feeling his jaw, and then slammed it back into his mouth, the same shape it usually had reforming.
"EXCELLENT!" Allistar smiled, "FINALLY A FIGHT WORTH SEEING OUT!"
Allistar charged forward, slamming into Jared, and then pinning him to the ground. Jared raised his arms to guard, but Allistar simply ripped them off. Jared collapsed to the ground, but then jumped back a fair distance. His arms reformed quickly, but he was immediately impaled by Allistars fist. Jared summoned Ashweaver, and shoved it into Allistars neck. The sword made impact with his neck, drawing a slight droplet or two of blood, but then shattered. However, Jared didn't have time to repent from the assault. He bore his fists, and slammed them into Allistars abdomen. A sinister crack was heard, and his arms went limp. Allistar smirked, and then kicked Jared straight into the city crater. He slammed on top of Jared, and delivered two handed haymaker after two handed haymaker. Jared struggled to take the hits, his head oozing blood all over the place.
"So, is your struggle over yet?" Allistair smiled maniacally, stopping his assault on Jared's head.
"I..."
"I mean, it's like you said, your allies are incapacitated, your plan is ruined. You can't win. Your weapons are inferior, your power is halved, there is no way you physically can win this fight."
"It's true, I can't win here, but I can't give up either."
Jared's bones reformed, he slammed his right hand into Allistars head, and sent him flying straight to China. Now in Hong Kong, Allistar slowly stood from the crater in the Earth, and launched at Jared, his fist colliding with Jared's face, shattering his skull clean from his head. Jared crashed to the ground, clutching his bleeding head, and forcing the little fragments of bone to reform in the required shape.
"Allistar, you forgot to account for one thing," Jared smirked.
"What do you mean? Do you understand what "omnipotent," means?"
"Do you understand what "Debuff," means?"
Allistar looked down to his armor, his purple dress suit, and his black dress pants were now covered in a blue ash like substance.
"You managed to trap me, so what?"
"MELTING POINT!"
Allistars clothes weighed him down, and thanks to melting point, they provided half the defense that they would normally provide. He was cloaked in a blue light, and along with his lack of defense, his movements felt much more sluggish.
Jared burst to life, shoving Ashweaver into Allistars abdomen. Allistar coughed in pain, but he simply went in for a kick on Jared. Jared dodged it thanks to Allistars lack of speed, and then slammed his fist into Allistars head. Allistar fell to the ground, and was met with a heavy blue energy slamming into him from above.
Jared kicked Allistar back, cocked back his fist, and slightly smirked.
"Allistar, I'm putting everything I have into this one attack!" Jared shouted, "PHOENIX, DESPERATION!"
Jareds fist connected with Allistars abdomen, causing the man to cough up even more blood. The fury of fire scorched everything as Allistars burn wound deepend with every passing second. Allistar had no chance against this attack as the fist continued to deepen into his gut. Slowly, a large hole made its way across his stomach, and Allistar wretched a large pool of blood from his mouth. The nearby crater around them enlarged with every passing second, and when the burst of large blue light faded... Allistar stood proud.
"Wow, you pushed me to my second form, I'm quite impressed."
Allistars clothes were shredded, now several large pieces of metal were clasped to his body. Two large metal shoulder pads, a metal piece in front of his abdomen, metal greaves that took up his entire leg, dual blue and red wires pumping strange liquid, Allistar had it all.
"Have fun..." Jared was wheezing out of breath, his blue power diminishing with every passing second, "Have fun staying in that form you bastard."
"Wait... you don't mean?"
"My plan all along was to keep you in that form so you aren't active as much hahah-" Jared slammed to the ground, coughing up blue blood.
"BASTARD!" Allistar kicked Jared into the edge of the crater, relentlessly slamming his foot into Jareds abdomen, all the while Jared kept laughing.
"HOW DARE YOU! DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW MANY ISSUES THIS CAUSES?"
Phoenix Desperation, an attack so potent, it causes Jared's powers to short circuit themselves for a moment. It allows the user to inflict incredulous amounts of damage, while also harming the target severely. Most opponents would crumble to ash over time, but Allistar would have the time to find a cure. However, now that he was stuck in this form forever, he would no longer be able to preside for eternity. Thanks to Phoenix Desperations' unstable cells, every cell in Allistars body is locked into thinking that this form of Allistars is his base form, so they don't revert him back to his original state.
Allistar is an entity so powerful he could manage to be conscious every hour of the day, every day, till the end of time. However, when pushed to subsequent forms, his permanence fades, and now that he was in his second form permanently, he could only last about half a day before spending the remaining time asleep.
"YOU AND I COULD'VE RULED THE ULTRIMITEVERSE, WE HAD EVERYTHING, AND YOU THREW IT AWAY FOR SOME STUPID GIR-" Allistar was interrupted by Jared catching his foot.
"MIO ISN'T STUPID YOU BASTARD!" He slammed a weakened fist into Allistars face, doing next to nothing, before collapsing to the ground.
Allistar took a deep breath, grabbing Jared by the hand, and then bringing him over to the clearing.
"It's over," Allistar spoke gracefully, his former anger fading. "He's out cold."
Allistars face was met from an unexpected attack. A "sever," strike. None of Allistars minions saw it coming. They turned their heads all to look at the user of said strike, who was none other than me.
"It's time for round two bitches." I smirked.
