Scott left with Dr Deaton so Rebecca never got her chance to talk to her brother about the whole pythonissam thing, but with the double date on her mind, it didn't matter; she could ask him about it later. Standing in front of her closet, Rebecca couldn't find the perfect outfit for the night and it soon dawned on her that she didn't even know where they were going or what they were doing. Not wanting to deal with a most likely stressed out Lydia, Rebecca picked up her phone and called Danny.

"Hello?"

"Hey, Danny. It's Rebecca, I was just wondering if you know what we are doing tonight?"

"Yeah, we are just going to the movies, nothing too exciting."

"Ah, okay then. Thanks!"

"No worries, Becca. I have some new jokes for you as well, get excited."

"Haha, can't wait! I'll see you later."

"Bye!" Danny said before Rebecca hung up, happy that they were just going to a movie so she could dress casual-ish. Standing back in front of her closet, Rebecca pulled out a pair of white skinny jeans, a lavender knit and a pair of wedges. Then she grabbed a couple of silver gold and slid them onto her wrist, afterwards, draping a matching dainty necklace around her neck.

Getting changed into her clothes, she hesitated staring at the wedges, the shoes breaking the outfit rather than making it. Pulling them off, Rebecca reached for a pair of light tan ankle boots and smiled victoriously to herself as she stared in the mirror. Next she straightened her brown curls and then applied a little makeup. The McCall girl being completely ready at 6:54pm, grabbed her handbag, phone and keys and headed downstairs to wait for her ride.

Strangely, Scott still hadn't returned and Melissa was at work, so the house was completely silent apart from the clicking of the heels on her boots as she paced around the living room. Rebecca wasn't nervous about the date, in fact she didn't really want to go and as she noticed a familiar figure standing in the doorway, she didn't want to go even more.

"Hey, Derek." The brunette said, smiling lightly at him, but Derek was most definitely not smiling back. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing at all. I just happened to kinda have a thing for this girl who I thought had a thing for me too, but turns out she has a date with another guy tonight. In 3 minutes to be precise." Derek replied, his voice flat and sarcastic.

"De-"

"No, you know what? It doesn't matter, I don't even know why I came here." Derek interrupted, turning to leave.

'He's gay." Rebecca called after the alpha, the said man stopping instantly and laughing.

"You seriously expect me to believe that?" Derek asked, turning around and raising his eyebrows at Rebecca.

"Listen to my heartbeat, Danny is gay, he and I aren't a thing."

"Why are you going on a date with a gay guy?"

"Lydia wanted us to come double date in case Nick turns out to be a creep." Rebecca shrugged, looking at Derek's amused face.

"I see, I had better get going then, I can hear a car pulling up. Call me later, Bec." Derek quickly answered, gently pressing his lips to her forehead before dashing away, presumably out the back door.

Rebecca just stood there, ignoring Lydia's obnoxious horn honking as she touched her forehead in disbelief. To be perfectly honest, his actions shouldn't have surprised her as much as it had, it's not like it was the first time he had kissed her and this wasn't even on the lips. Yet every time their skin even just barely brushed, it really did feel like the first time.
