"I don't know what to say." Rebecca mumbled back, the boy beside her thankful to be driving and have a excuse to avoid her sympathetic stare. "Stiles, I'm so sorry."

"Don't be, I knew you had feelings for Derek and I don't expect that to suddenly change because of me. I just don't want to lose you because of this." Stiles answered, blinking back tears as he struggled to keep his voice level.

"You won't, Stiles I'd never leave you." Becs told him, smiling lightly as he grabbed her hand and softly squeezed it.

"Thank you."

Allison was off. Rebecca had been at her house for an hour now and the whole time Allison wasn't really Allison. Rebecca totally understood feeling lost and upset over the death of her mother, but she was just so immensely angry.

"Okay, I know people deal with grief different ways and Alli, I'm so sorry you lost your mother-"

"I didn't lose her, she was taken from us." Allison spat, seemingly glaring at nothing.

"Right, sorry. I just want you to know I'm here for you though, you don't have to be so angry. You can cry and you'll still be one of the most amazing people I know. You've been through a lot, it's okay to give in and break down every now and again." Rebecca continued, careful to keep her tone gentle and kind as she reached out to hug Allison who instead pulled back and continued to glare.

"It was his fault, you know."

"Who's fault?"

"Derek's. He killed her, he should be the one the world lost. I'm going to tell you to do something and I want you to listen; stay away from him, Rebecca. I don't want you getting caught in the crossfire."

"If you don't mind me asking, how did it happen?" The McCall girl questioned, trying not to set her friend off.

"He bit her and everyone knows that with our code she had no choice but to kill herself before she turned. He did this on purpose and mark my words he will pay. Just stay out of my way, Bec."

"Hey, why don't we have a nice girls night? We can watch movies and eat junk food, don't you think that'd make you feel better?" Rebecca suggested, trying to awake the old Allison from inside her.

"No thanks, I actually think I might do some training. Did you need a ride home?" The huntress replied, not a shred of emotion clear in her tone and that's when Rebecca realised how broken she really was.

"Yes please, I think Stiles is a little over constantly having to drive me everywhere." Rebecca stated, laughing lightly as her friend smiled back.

"I doubt that, but sure, I'll go get dad. Have you got everything?"

"Yeah, I think so. Thanks, and hey, if you ever need, Alli please call me."

"Will do." Allison told her, "thank you."

And the genuine smile she received in reply was enough to tell Rebecca that maybe this was just how Allison was dealing with things. Maybe this was just going to pass and maybe the anger was just a mask for something deeper.

Rebecca quickly followed Alli out of her room and into the lounge room where Mr Argent sat, watching the two girls approach him.

"Rebecca." He greeted, nodding in her direction.

"Mr Argent, how are you?"

"Just dandy." Chris replied, giving the teenager a sarcastic smile.

"Right, sorry. Uh, you know I think I'll just give Stiles a call. I'm sure he can come get me." Rebecca said, awkwardly laughing as she reached for her phone.

"Don't be ridiculous, I can give you a ride. There is actually someone I wanted to talk to you about."

"Oh, okay thanks."

"Don't mention it. Come on, the car is just in the port." Mr Argent said, standing up and leading Rebecca outside to the car as Allison said goodbye.

"Who'd you want to talk to me about?" The twin asked, the curiosity being too much for her as she clicked in her seat belt.

"Mikayla Griffin. I believe you've met, yes?"

"Unfortunately so. We don't, uh, we don't get along very well."

"Yes, well she's actually an old friend of mine. Like a sister, really." Chris told her as they pulled out of the driveway. "She ran away when she was a little younger than you and we never saw her since."

"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. Do you mind if I ask why? She doesn't really seem like the type to run away."

"She was a hunter and as you'd know by now, our code states that if we are to be bitten or changed we must take our own life to prevent becoming what we destroy. She was bitten and didn't have any other choice. She was a disgrace to her family and the hunters from that moment on, but I guess it never fully sunk in to me. I always thought she was strong and brave for leaving, now since Victoria I realise that she was just weak."

"With all due respect, I think you need to update your code. I don't think you should expect people to kill themselves. Don't get me wrong, I don't like Mikayla, but the fact that a teenage girl was forced to leave everything she knew to survive is seriously messed up. The fact that your wife had to leave her family, had to die because she was bitten is disgusting and the thought of it makes me feel sick."

"Then maybe you shouldn't be talking about something you don't understand. You have no right to be talking to me like that, I can see why you don't get along with Mikayla."

"Sorry, Mr Argent, but you can't disagree; do you seriously think it's fair? Do you seriously think this is right? Look at your daughter, she's changed so much and now she's out for blood. This isn't the Allison I know and love and it's all your code's fault. Your code is ruining her, fix it before it's too late. Also, I don't get along with Mikayla because she is a total cow."

"Thanks for your opinion, but maybe you should be more concerned about your brother and Derek rather than worrying about my family. I'm sure Allison is overjoyed to have such a bold and opinionated friend. Rebecca, next time you feel like judging Mikayla, think about what I've told you and tell me it wouldn't have affected you. Tell me her actions and emotions aren't justified."

"Coming from the guy who said she was weak. I'm sorry, Mr Argent. I know you and your family has been through a lot recently. It's just not fair what you've been through and I'm worried about Allison. You can't tell me she hasn't changed dramatically. She's going to kill someone and I don't know how she deal with it once she comes back to her senses. You're right though, it's none of my business."

"Just call me Chris." He sighed back, beginning to think he had judged the girl too quickly; instantly disliking the girl mainly just because she was Scott's sister. "Do me a favour and tell Mikayla I said hi and that I hope she's well."

"Sure, Chris. I can't promise a pleasant reply, but I'll tell her." Rebecca replied, the silence in the car now comfortable. They seemed to understand each other after that; Chris knew Rebecca wasn't trying to insult him, she was just trying to help her friend and he respected her for that. Whereas Rebecca knew Chris was only trying to keep everything afloat after a really hard time and she couldn't blame him for that, she only hoped he knew what was happening right under his nose.

a/n: I'm sorry this isn't that great. I wanted to upload something in memory of a friend of mine. He died in a car accident today and although we weren't that close it still really affected me as it did a lot of people in our community. he never read my stories and didn't watch teen wolf, but I just wanted something to kind of let go with I guess.

RIP Ford, you're already missed so much by so many
