Jennie took a deep breath, shifting back on the sofa and pulling the comforter against her body, as if the fabric could make the restlessness in her body disappear.

Lara looked away from the television, not understanding the reason why her sister was so... strange. Ever since she had returned from her grandmother's house for a day, Jennie always seemed to be worried and restless.

"What's up, Jendeukie?" Tilting her head to the side, curiosity taking over her features. "You always like to watch bear land with me. Why are you like this?"

"It's nothing," she forced a smile, trying futilely to focus on the movie. "I'm just...colicky."

"Ah," the younger Kim wrinkled her nose, "I wanted to have a bear like Lili's. Where is Lili?"

Jennie sighed.

"I don't know. At home, I guess."

"And why aren't you there?"

"Because I'm not feeling well. I think I'm...with the flu. I don't want it to catch it."

"Oh yeah..." The girl murmured, suspicious.

"You know what? I don't care if she catches the flu."

Lara raised her eyebrows, looking at her sister getting up from the sofa with some indignation.

"Um...Okay..."

"Oh Jennie!" The woman wrapped the Korean in a hug, her excited voice drawing a shy smile from her. "How are you? Better?"

"Looking forward," she blew out a long breath.

"Oh," Mrs. Manoban's lips curved into a gentle smile, but Jennie sensed a twinge of sadness, "These days have been...strange. Come on in. We have much to talk about."

Jennie nodded and walked into the house, followed by the older one, looking around quickly and making herself comfortable on the sofa.

"Did something happen? How is Lisa?"

"First tell me about yourself," Anne held the young woman's hand in her hands, feeling her tense.

"I...I didn't expect that to happen. But the boy's words hurt more than the blows, so...I know that nothing he said is true. I know what I'm doing and I don't want her to or our relationship change for nothing and no one."

"I understand...I'm happy with that, Jennie, Really... I was really worried about you, it's absurd that people go through that every day. I know that because...Lisa's been through it before," she recounted, watching Jennie's features change drastically.

"What? Why? How so? What did they do to her?" She barraged questions all at once, feeling her stomach churn at the thought of Lisa being hurt.

"The reason is obvious, right?" Jennie sighed, shaking her head slowly. "Well... no one counted for much and she much less. But she had a lot of bruises on her face and on her belly and ribs. She was drenched in water when they found her inside one of the bathroom stalls," Anne squeezed. the eyes.

"They... suffocated her in the bathroom?!" Horror was stamped on Jennie's face.

"Nobody commented and she much less, but what everything indicates, was that. She didn't want to leave the school, even after that and I never understood why... let's change the subject, dear... It's over."

Jennie smiled sadly and lowered her head.

"How is Lisa?"

"Jennie... Lisa hasn't exchanged a word with anyone since Rosé came here. She doesn't eat well."
