It was raining heavily in Gajasaharya, Dhisana was looking at the dreary sky while lying on the bed. Her heart was heavy with longing. Her thoughts wandered to her husband, who was still a stranger to her.

It felt like eternity since she last held his hand, and her ache for him grew stronger with each passing moment. She closed her eyes and let out a deep sigh, her heartache almost unbearable. Because all she was left with were memories of their brief time together and the constant worry that he might never return.

Doubts filled her mind, wondering if he actually wanted her or if he had only married her to secure an alliance for his kingdom. The fear of him not caring for her was tearing her apart from the inside. The sound of the rain only made her feel more alone and isolated, as she lay there, wrapped in her own thoughts.

Dhisana couldn't shake off the feeling that she was always going to be secondary to her husband's responsibilities. She had longed for the day when she would find the prince of her dreams. But she hadn't expected to be left alone like this.

As she lay on the bed, surrounded by the comfort of a luxurious pillow and blankets, she couldn't help but wonder if Manvendra felt the same way. If he too missed her. She knew he had a big heart, but would it always be the duty that came first ? Would she always come second to his responsibilities ?

"Aryaa ! Aryaa !" The excited voice of Bela fell on her ears as she entered the room.

"I am not hungry." Dhisana said, assuming her handmaiden had come again with food.

"Aryaa, a message has come from Hastinapur." Bela said.

Dhisana quickly got up and hurried towards Bela, taking the letter. After a long time her heart leapt with joy as she anticipated the contents of the letter. Perhaps her husband had sent her a note from his kingdom. Or maybe it was letter announcing his arrival.

However, as she opened the letter and read its contents, her joy once again turned into sorrow and despair. The letter informed her that Manvendra had to leave for Khandavprasth to take the land from Nagas and Rakshasas.

Her heart sank, not because of the battle he was going into, she had seen his valour. Her heart ached because this means he will not be returning anytime sooner.

'So he chose his duty once again over me.' Dhisana thought, as she couldn't help feeling neglected.

She was hurt and disappointed that her husband didn't prioritize their relationship. She longed for his affection and attention. She had dreamed of a loving and attentive husband who would cherish her, but instead, she was left feeling unimportant and alone.

Tears trickled down the face of Dhisana as she couldn't understand why he didn't want to spend time with her. She had dreamed of marriage, of the love and devotion that she saw in the fairy tales. But now she understood that life is not a fairy tale.

"Aryaa, what happened ?" Bela asked.

"Nothing." Dhisana said in sobs.

But Bela knew something was up, she took the letter from the princess and reading it came to know everything.

"Everything will be fine, Aryaa." Bela consoled.

A sad smile appeared on the face of Dhisana as tears rolled down her face.

"It was my fault only, naive I was to think, that my life would be a fairytale also." Dhisana said.

"Aryaa, please try to understand his perspective as well. Don't despise him." Bela said.

"My life would've been easy if I could despise him..." Dhisana looked at Bela, "But I can't bring myself to. He is my saviour, he is my salvation, he is the blessing I have gotten. He is the only one who has made me feel secure. I can never despise him. It's my fault that I kept high expectations from him." She said, disappointment was evident in her voice.
