A whole week of preparation had turned the annual PHONING event into something worth waiting for. There was rows upon rows of food stalls, games and a countless number of rides.

I wait in line for the Sizzler with Mara and Mavis, almost unsure if this was a good decision. After all, third wheeling the two would only have me sitting behind them—alone. And who would want to ride this all alone? There's no fun in that...

I watch them get all close and giggly. I still can't believe how utterly oblivious they are to each other's feelings. I might just push their heads together one day and tell them to kiss and sort it out. Who knows how long they'll end up pining and yearning for if I don't help them out.

The line starts to shorten and my excitement is through the roof. I can't wait. I jump excitedly on the spot while the girls watch me with smiles on their faces. "Why are you staring at me?"

The look at me with mischievous grins. I stare back at them in confusion, a brow furrowed. "Seriously, what are you looking at? Is there something on my face?" I pull out my phone in a hurry and open the camera app.

To my surprise, there's nothing on my face. Instead, there's someone standing behind me. I turn around almost immediately, my eyes widened. "Bro, you nearly scared the shit out of me! What the hell..." I feel my heart do several jumps against my chest as I look her in the eyes.

"Surprise," She smiled. "Thought you'd like a partner for the ride. Is that okay with you?"

It's more than okay I thought to myself. It's perfect. Brilliant. Out of this world even. I feel my lips turn upward. An obvious smile that screams absolute happiness and joy.

"I was worried there for a second. I thought I had to ride alone and third wheel these idiots."

Mara and Mavis raise their brows simultaneously, pulling a "yeah right" look on their faces as I look back at them.

"Have you been on this ride before?" I turn away from my friends and look back at Riley.

She nods and claps her hands excitedly, "Yes! I absolutely love this ride...and we get to be all close and it'll be really fun. I'm excited!"

We'll be close.

There's no way around it either. No matter what we do...we'll be together. Like really close.

"Like superglue." I laughed.

Riley shows off her crescent moon like eyes when she smiles. "Mm. We're inseparable." She said.

She's got the prettiest eye smile ever. I feel like I'd melt and turn into a puddle of nothingness.

Inseparable.

I've spent so much time with Riley that I can't imagine a life without her. A life where our night routine ceases to exist is even worse...

It's one of the few things in life that actually give me a rush. I feel like electricity runs through my veins with every passing second she spends in my presence. Like right now for example.

I'm not one to be all touchy-feely. And I'm not a big fan of people being touchy-feely with me either. But of course, Riley has be an exception.
