"At times, our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us."

The Lighthouse Series
Haunted
It's been almost a month since John B and Sarah were lost at sea. Their friends back in the Outer Banks are still reeling from the loss, trying to adjust to life without two of their best friends.
Pope has tossed himself into school work, which is wild considering school hasn't started yet. Kiara is angry, and acting reckless, trying to pick fights everywhere she goes. Then, there's JJ. He's spiraling — big time — always drunk or high, hellbent on pushing Abigail away so he can wallow in his own misery.
As for Abigail, she's doing what she does best, suffering in silence. Taking care of her friends before herself, and praying that the bright light at the end of this tunnel shines on them sooner rather than later.
Eventually, the Pogues come back together, finding comfort in one another, trying to feel even the smallest bit normal. But, they are soon thrusted into another mystery, another treasure hunt, all while still trying to come to terms with the outcome of the first one.
In the midst of trying to clear their best friend's name, and find more buried treasure, Abigail uncovers old family secrets. Her parent's were living a life she was unaware of, and the choices they made in the past come back to haunt her in the present.
For the first time in years, she's forced to dig into her past. Feelings and thoughts she's ignored for four years resurface, further complicating her life, and her relationship with JJ — adding to the stress and chaos ensuing around her.
JJ has always compared Abigail to a lighthouse. Reliable, safe, hopeful — the bright light in his sea of darkness, guiding him back home — to safety.
But, unfortunately, all lighthouses eventually lose their light for a period of time.
They burn out.
They go dark.

a/n: I'm so excited to finally share book two, 'Haunted', with you all. This book is the reason I decided to start posting my story on Wattpad.
