Dancing Demons

If I ever reliably needed to find Taliyah, it would be in the science lab. Cam had already ran into me as he was exiting the gym after Basketball practice. I had already sent our group chat the details on Aphelios and Y/N joining us on an after school get together. As I opened the door to the science lab I saw Al and Taliyah sitting at the same table. Al was staring at his phone, while Taliyah was observing some blue looking rocks with a handheld microscope.

"Oh hey, Kai'sa, you're here earlier than I anticipated", Taliyah says, surprised. Taliyah sets down the microscope from her hand back in the plastic storage bin it came from.

Al turns towards Taliyah and asks, "Do you want me to help you clean up a bit?"

"That would be lovely," Taliyah replies.

Al puts his phone into his pocket and goes towards one of the many sinks to wet some rags. Taliyah starts to organize all of her rocks into their little storage holes as Al brings begins wiping down the table after her.

Al is always so quick to help Taliyah out. It's become really obvious to everyone, Taliyah included, that Al is crushing really hard on her. It's cute to see Al try so hard. After they finish cleaning up they gather the rest of their things and we head to join up with Y/N and Aphelios.

As we exit the school and enter the main courtyard the sky is already starting to get dark. In Shurima the sun is up for most hours of the day. However, in Piltover I had to adjust to it getting dark very early in the winter.

Up ahead I spot Aphelios and Y/N sitting at one of the many outdoor tables patiently waiting. Taliyah speeds up ahead waving to them and catches their attention.

"Hey, sorry to keep you waiting", Taliyah yells over to the duo.

Aphelios stands up from the table and slings his school bag over his shoulder.

"It's no problem at all, we didn't wait long. Our jackets are pretty reliable since their suitable for Targon's many mountains," Aphelios replies.

Y/N is looking intently at his phone as Aphelios gets up and starts walking over to us. He looks like he's off in his own little world.

"Hey, Y/N come on let's get going," Aphelios calls back to him.

"Huh, oh right let's get going," Y/N says tucking his phone into his pocket and getting up, backpack in tow.

Our two groups finally meet up with each other and agree to all start walking.

"So where do we want to go," I ask the group.

Cam shivers and replies, "Please somewhere warm, with warm food."

Taliyah breathes warm air into her hands and rubs them together, "I second that motion please and thank you."

Y/N chuckles, "It's not even that cold out."

"No one asked you mountain man", Taliyah snaps back at him playfully.

"Well if we're looking for somewhere warm with warm food, I recommend Azir's Pizza", Al says enthusiastically.

"That sounds good to me, I always get good food when I eat there, and I haven't actually eaten inside in forever", I say to Al.

I then propose the idea to everyone else, "How does that sound to everyone else."

Y/N is the first to answer, "Well, if it's on your recommendation it can't be that bad."

Cam replies next, "Sounds fine to me."

Taliyah gives a excited squeal, "Good idea Al, I haven't seen Sivir since she graduated."
