Y/N POV

Today was my first return to school since auditions.  Needless to say I was really nervous.  I still had no idea if I succeeded in making it into the club or not.  I guessed I would have to reach out to Mr. Bard the second classes were finished.

Adjusting my uniforms tie I left my room with a heavy sigh.  So much stress first thing in the morning.  The weekend was so nice, and now I have to return to the real world.

Aphelios had been waiting for me to get dressed after breakfast.  We both walked to school in mostly silence.

Y/N: "Do anything fun this weekend?"

Aphelios: " Eh, not really.  I finished up on studying and homework that's about it."

Y/N: "It's been a little crazy around here lately.  I guess just some normal study and homework is a fresh change."

Aphelios:"How was your night recently, with Ahri.  Did you use protection like I told you."

Y/N:" What, no, I mean I didn't have to use protection because we didn't do anything.  We talked, kissed a little and then went to sleep."

Aphelios:"I knew it was only matter of time you two would get together.  The second she showed up on our doorstep a few weeks ago, I knew it would happen at some point."

Y/N: "Whatever man, I'm just gonna keep walking."

I loved my brother so much in a multitude of ways.  But, one of the things I hate, he's so good at reading others.  I swear it's like a sixth sense for him.

We arrived at the front archway that led to the campus courtyard.  The moment I rounded the court into full view I was met with many stares.

Their eyes shot straight through Aphelios and I.  Immediately I felt self conscious.  It took every fiber of my being to not sink down and try to hide my face.  I know i said I was finally going to change, but change is often slow and hard.

I managed to move forward keeping my head up.

It especially sucked because we often arrive earlier than most of our friends.  Our group wasn't here for us to slip into and not stand out so hard.  I could be thankful about the fact it didn't seem to bother Aphelios all that much.  If it does he's amazing at not letting it show.

We both found a table to sit and wait at.  These people had all the time in the world to sit and just stare.  It was honestly starting to piss me off at this point.

Taliyah and Al were the first to arrive and we waved them down to come sit.  Taliyah yelled in excitement and ran up to give me a hug.

Taliyah: "AAAAA Y/N it's so good to finally have you back."

Y/N: "Idk about that, there's a weird feeling in the air."

Taliyah took a notice of all the people doing there best to hide their gaze from us.

Taliyah: "Who cares what those nerds think."

Al set his guitar case down.

Al: "That's rich coming from you calling others nerds.  You're the biggest nerd I know."
