A week later I got a text from my bandmate Erikosik.
Erikosik: Sujin why aren't you at practice
Sujin: I'm not coming
Erikosik: Is it because of the performance?
Sujin: yep
Erikosik: Come on that wasn't so bad!
Sujin: Why do I need to come today anyway?
Erikosik: Boss wants to talk with u...
Sujin: Don't tell me...
Erikosik: I didn't want to tell u myself.
Sujin: I'll be there in ten in
I sighed and put my phone into my pocket.
I ran out the door and to the studio.
As soon as I got there everyone has eyes on me.
"Sujin follow me," our manager said walking into another room.
I heard the staff whispering from behind.
"Yes sir? What's up?" I asked playing cool.
"What happened the other night was unacceptable," he said.
"I'm sorry," I apologized while bowing multiple times.
"I have given you many warnings and this is the last straw!" he continued.
"Sir the other times are mistakes!" I said.
"What was this time then?" he asked.
"That's it,"
"You're fired," boss said pointing out the door.
I stood there in shock.
Fuck this place. I didn't have time for this.
I stormed out of the building causing a commotion.
Now how do I find a job?
I had an idea.
I ran to the convenience store and went straight up to the register.
"Hey, Sujin!" Jisoo unnie said waving.
"Hey, unnie!" I said.
"What's up?" she asked.
"Can I get a job here?" I asked.
"You got fired again?" unnie said.
"Yea. I'm desperate so please!" I said.
"You know what? Take over the counter here. I'll be stocking up the shelves," Jisoo unnie said before walking away.
I've worked here many times. Mostly whenever I was jobless.
I don't need to apply for this job I can just come in whenever I want and work there. That's how broke I am.
Jisoo unnie has helped me so much and I think of her as my only family since I don't live with my parents.
I got a uniform on and stood by the cash register.
Just then I saw someone come in
Why do I make Jisoo always work at the register?? 🤔
First at the ice cream shop, possibly the boba shop, and now the convenience store 🏪
