XXI : Family Dinner.

Socialising wasn't my strong suit. When i got along with George and Nick, i was surprised with myself. But this family dinner was going to be a nightmare for my socialising skills.

"What should i wear that wont make your parents think i do drugs?" I ask.

"Theyre not gonna think you do drugs." Clay says.

"Still! I get weird looks from parents i pass whenever i go out."

"Theyre not gonna care, Star. But if you really want to, you can just tad down your goth-ness a bit."

Sound really judgemental but i couldnt think of anyway to put it idk

"Im gonna go out of my comfort zone and wear something i wouldnt usually wear."

"You dont have too, you know. I dont want you to do something youre not used to just for me."

This bitch really knows how to make me blush.

"I can still go all black."

And at that he nods.

I hate this already.

Since we were at our house, i went to my closet to grab a pleated skirt and a hoodie. More specifically, Clay's hoodie.

It wasn't my fault! I didnt notice it was his that i grabbed.

"Nice hoodie." Clay says with a smirk.

"Huh? Oh, uh. Its yours. I forgot to give it back to you."

"I know."

I was wearing the beige hoodie he gave me and a black pleated skirt which i added some chains on. Pretty simple but it was reasonable for meeting his parents.

We had just arrived at his parents house which his whole family gathered to. Clay's Mom also said that we should bring Nick and George to the dinner to help me feel more comfortable. The two came with Clay often to family dinners anyway.

Clay knocked on the door and a few seconds later his mom opened the door.

"Clay! Oh, i see you brought Nick and george aswell. Come in!" His mom says.

"Hi mom! This is my girlfriend, Cora." Clay says and puts an arm around my waist.(waist grabs ksxnjsbdjs) i see Nick and George hug a girl who looks around the age of 14.

"Hi miss. Pleasure to meet you." I say as I put an arm out for her to shake and smile sweetly.

"Oh please, no need for handshakes." She says as she pulls me into a hug where i gladly hug back, "Clay has told me alot about you. And please, just call me Clara."

I smile at her as she ushers us in to her house. There is a boy and a girl sitting on the sofa playing video games on an xbox with Nick and George.

(I dont exactly know how xboxs work cause i dont have one lmao)

"No! I thought we was gonna win!" George says as he puts his hands ont he boys shoulders.

"Well, George, Drista and Sapnap will always be the superior duo." Nick says as the girl chuckles.

The said girl notices me and smiles,"Oh hi! Im Caroline!" The girl says as she waves towards me.

"Hello! Im Cora." I say trying to hide my nervousness.

"Hey, Calvin." The boy says.

Just then a girl who looks around in her late 20's comes out of the kitchen with a man by her side, "Oh you must be Cora! Im Claire, Clay's older sister. This is Walter. My husband." She says as she point to the man beside her and he waves.

I wave back to them and i start to get comfortable with Clay's family. Me and dris—Coraline get along well. Me and Calvin are just fine. And it went well with Claire.

We sat down on their kitchen table and we started eating.

Before we continue, i would just like to say im not good at writing gatherings and they dont have a dad. I guess he left when calvin was born.

"So, Cora. Where are you from?" Clara starts.

"Oh, im from the Philippines, but when i was 18 i moved to Massachusetts because apparently Harvard wanted me for their university. I moved to florida after i graduated and stayed here with my bestfriends."

"You went to collage at 18?" Claire asks.

"When i was applied for first grade the teachers at the school i applied to found out that ny knowledge was more advanced and they gave me another test to make sure that i could just skip first grade and go to second grade. So i was basicallu bumped up a grade."

They ask me a few more questions getting to know me better. It was a success as far as i can say. We drove home after and slept over at Clay's. Not forgetting to tell April and orecious this time.

family gathering are cool ig.im not good at writing this stuff so of its kinda scuffed im sorryyyyy. But overall i kinda like it.

some angst is comine in the next chapter or so. I mean, when all good things there must come bad, right?
