IV:who's Nick?

CORA'S POV!

Me and clay were currently sitting on the sofa in my apartment watching a movie. i had invited him over and asked if he wanted to watch a movie with me earlier

"Hey do you have instagram?" i  asked, kind of out of the blue

"Oh uhh no, i dont really do social media"he answered, he looked nervous for some reason,

'bakit naman siya kakabahan sa instagram?'

(Why would he be nervous about instagram?)

This left me in shock, how could someone not actually have social media?

That was when a ding came from his phone, it was a text messege coming from someone called 'Nick🐼'

"Whos nick?" I ask as i pop a piece of popcorn into my mouth

"Oh just one of my friends"he answered, still nervous

"Why do you seem so nervous?"

"Oh uh im not nervous, why would i be nervous?"

"Uhh i dunno?"

The door opened and we both turned our heads to the door

"Uhh, am i interrupting something?" April asked

"Uhh no, not really we were just watching a movie"i replied

"Who is he?" April pointed towards Clay

"Oh, Jane this is Clay, Clay This is Jeianne, we usually call her april tho"

"Oh uh nice too meet you" Clay reluctantly shook her hand

Reluctantly cuz she was wearing George merch

"Can i talk to you for a second, Cora? In private"

"Why?" I raise my eyebrows

"Just come with me"

"Fine"i go with her as she leads me to the kitchen"stay here, ill be right back"i point at clay

Me and April enter the the kitchen and she looks so surprised, for what?

"What is it?" I ask

"Do you know who that is?" She asks

The fuck? Didnt i just introduce them? "I just introduced you guys dipshit"

"Yea i know but he looks alot like dream, a litle too much" she emphasized on the last part

"So? What the big deal?" I ask

"The 'bIg DeAl' is that, what if its actually dream?"

This made me think. What if it was him? What if im just a silly little experiment? Cora, seriously? An experiment, what book have you been reading. I thought. If it was dream then i wouldve already figure it out, he would tell me, right?

"HELLO?! earth to Cora?" April waved her hands infront of me

"Oh uh sorry, spaced out" i blinked a few times and walked to my snack cabinet "you gotta go J, Im technically on a date, so please maybe we can talk about this later? And dont tell presh yet"

"Fine" she walks out the kitchen and i follow behind, i direct myself to the couch and she directs herself to the front door "See ya, corz"

I give her a smile and look back at Clay

"Sorry that took so long" i say

"No its fine" he gives me a smile and the butterflies in my stomach flutter

We continue to watch the movie we were watching and he suddenly speaks

"So, can you tell me about your family?" He asks

(Okay so this part is for you guys to know who the two de castro's are in the last chapter and get to know her fam)

"Well, my mom divorced my dad when i was fourteen and got remmarried when i was 16"

"Why did your mother divorce your biological father?"he asked sympathetically

"Uhm well its pretty a sensitive topic but basically, my biological dad was an alcoholic and would come home, and hit me, my mom would try to stop him but he would just scream at her which was the reason i vowed to not scream at anyone or anything. My mom couldnt divorce him then cause he was the only thing keeping us financially stable but when i was 14 she finally got a stable job that could could keep us both financially stable and divorced him. Two years later sje got remmaried and i got two new siblings, Kuya Theo- kuya is what you call older boys in the Phillipines, kuya Theodore and Samantha"

"Oh. Im sorry" he said

"Its ok, its not your fault"i reply

We stare at each other for a few seconds. Just admiring each other. A jumpscare suddenly appeared on the tv making us both jump and fall into a fit of giggles.

I was about to put that this this was filler chapter bit then i realized there were many plot points in it so guess its not a filler
