ENJOY CECILIA'S BI-PANIC WITH NARCISSA BLACK-MALFOY.
With the children back to school, there was time enough for the grown-ups to deal with the problems piling up right in front of their eyes, hoping that the smaller ones would not notice it and would focus just on their grades. All of that meant that Regulus had a whole plan made and put into action in the same day that the Hogwarts' Express left the station, January 5th of 1997.
Regulus, Sirius, Cecilia and Remus went to a small restaurant at the foot of the Irish magical community in Derry. The owner had put them in the very back of the restaurant out of Cecilia's request, who's accent was easily confused to a pure Irish accent and got them exactly what they wanted. Regulus left a name at the front of the restaurant, instructing them to lead the visitor to their table right away.
They sat in the small private room that they had gotten.
"It's... quaint," Sirius said.
"It's Derry," Remus groaned, as if those words were explanation enough to the small room that they found themselves in.
"Don't be a prat. Keep that Welsh tone of yours away from that beautiful name," Cecilia teased. "I'm quite happy in being here. It's been years since I last came to Derry. We usually just went to Galway since it's where my mother's family still are."
"There are still Weasleys in Galway? I thought they all left to England in the 60s," Regulus said, surprised.
"They chose to stay. Some of them taught at the university there, apparently," Cecilia explained. "And there was this one uncle of my mother that had a very weird pub in Eyre Square, something with the back destined to the wizarding community there while the back was open to the general public. Not a very pretty looking one, but a famous one nonetheless."
Regulus, whom never had gone to Galway, had no idea where Eyre Square was, but it did seem impressive enough.
As they sat and waited, their drinks were brought to the table and there was no denying that Sirius was nervous by the amount of whiskey that he had asked in his cup. Remus half-glared at him, but said nothing, just accepting once more that his boyfriend was a functioning alcoholic. Regulus, exasperated, sipped his juice and looked away from his brother; though he knew how hard it was for Sirius to get in contact with their family again, he still thought him to be overly-dramatizing the situation.
"Narcissa was never that bad, Sirius," Regulus said.
"Well, neither of us have seen her in a long time now," Sirius answer.
"She had the opportunity of betraying me before I ever came out as alive, but she didn't," he said. "There's something more to everything that is happening and she might know it. If we find a way to help Draco, she might help us."
"There's no use of begging her for help, she won't help us," Sirius insisted.
"We don't know that," Remus said, shaking his head, reaching for Sirius' drink and taking a sip of it as well. "As you said, there has been a long time since the last time either of you saw her. This is a risk we must be willing to take: trying."
