OMG, AIDE, YOU MAKE A CONFLICT AND FIX IT ON THE SAME CHAPTER? YES. I WANT TO SHOW CECILIA BEING AN ANNOYING YOUNG-ADULT BECAUSE AVOIDANCE IS TOO COMMON NOT TO BE TALKED ABOUT, SO A BIT OF CRINGE AT THE FIRST PART OF THE CHAPTER.

I'M MESSED UP MEDS FOR ALLERGIES RIGHT NOW, SO COMMENT A LOT SO I CAN EMBARRASS MYSELF, PLEASE, BECAUSE I WON'T REMEMBER THIS TOMORROW. THANK YOU.

"You've read all those books already, Cecilia," Remus said gently in the third day of her being so distant. "Locking yourself away in the library and being so cold with Regulus won't solve your problems."

"Says you, who does not know of my problems," she grumbled.

Remus sighed, sitting down in the sofa beside her like some sort of self-appointed therapist or something like that. She sighed, annoyed with him with the same sort of rage that a hormonal teenager usually feels when someone gets too close to comfort.

"Did you know that werewolves have something similar to bonds as well?" he asked, getting her attention away from the book that she already read thrice. "It's not nearly as compelling or studied as soul-bonds, but they can be permanent when both sides of the bond agree, which is a lot more of a choice than you have."

"Where are you trying to get?" she asked, closing the book.

"I'm trying to get that Sirius and I have been in this relationship for a lot longer than you and Regulus and we have been through a lot more than you expect us to have, and we still haven't sealed them," he explained. "I know that you two are different from us, but it's important that you understand that even in our age, we hesitate when faced with the power of bonds such as those," she sighed, ready to answer him, but Remus shook his head, clearly not done. "Your relationship is none of our business, that much I understand and I'm glad you stood up to Alastor, he can take a challenge or two, but... Cecilia," he hesitated, taking a deep breath. "Look, one night with a bad decision can take you to your death, do you understand?"

"I don't need to do anything," she said, dancing around the subject.

"Did you talk to Regulus about that?" he asked. She looked away. "No, you didn't, because you haven't talked to him for the last couple of day, because you'd rather sit here and brood through books that you already read."

"He said that we didn't have to do anything that I didn't want to do, therefore we don't need to do it," she explained.

She wanted to, it was very clear from her reaction to his kisses and gentle touches that she wanted him just as ardently as he wanted her. But she couldn't and he was starting to learn about it.

"It's very honourable of his part, yes," he said, leaning away from her and resting against the sofa. "But it just isn't realistic."

Cecilia frowned.

"I'm sure that there are couples out there that don't need to do anything to be happy," she said.

"I'm sure there are, but I don't think Regulus and you would accept it," Remus said. "There's a difference between not being interested in it and being very interested and just depraving yourself from your own desires and wishes. It's a sort of torture that not many people willingly go through."

Putting the book over the coffee table in front of her, she pulled her feet onto the sofa and her knees against her chest.

"I –" she stopped, unsure of what to answer.

"I said what I wanted to say, you don't need to answer me anything if you don't want to," he said, slapping his knees before getting up from the sofa. "You've done this before. This whole self-sabotage and isolation foolishness and you almost fell apart, do you remember it? I know that this is scary and you don't want to lose the relationship you two have, but this –" and he pointed around at the library in a circle, "...this won't solve anything. Be the adult you say you are. Talk to him. Communication can save lives in times like this. Don't let your shame and your anger blind you from what's truly important."
