TW: SMUT!
First of all, the musical went amazingly well! Everything worked out great and it was very fun. So, I had the time to write this chapter; it would've been ready sooner if I wasn't so bad with writing smut, sorry about that.
In general, happy chapter, so I hope you all like it.
Harry seemed in a better mood. By no means he was healthy, and Sirius barely left him alone anymore now that his suicidal tendencies seemed so clear. Remus seemed a lot less scared on the outside, leaving Harry to his space and trying to keep Sirius on a tight leash to keep him from asking inopportune questions, but he was hardly any calmer than his boyfriend.
Hermione, too, seemed stressed out, always holding onto Harry and – if he was out of her reach – she held onto Draco as if he was a life-line. Something had happened in the destruction of the Cup, that much was clear, but she refused to talk about it when Cecilia had asked, just saying that it was Evil and she never wanted to do it alone again. Harry had been of little comfort after destroying, clearly traumatised over it and with all his feeling right underneath his skin coming out in bubbles and Draco had been terrified of being touched without prior warning for days after, Narcissa even had to change beds with Harry (letting the boy sleep in the same room as Regulus and Sirius) so she could quiet down Draco during the night terrors that had made a comeback after finally giving him some peace.
The truth was that for days after the destruction of the Cup, everybody had been too distracted to realise the tension between Regulus and Cecilia growing.
The conversation about the ritual had been quick, but friendly above all and something changed, switching Cecilia's eyes upon him from ice-cold to a slowly thawing warmth.
Truth was, she missed him. Regulus was a lot of things before he had become her lover. He had been a good friend and someone that had been understanding of the feelings that grew in her chest, not out of ungenuine compassion, but because he could share those same emotions and that was even before they were completely aware of the bond that they shared. He had woken up with her nightmares, he had taken care of her and listened to her. He had loved her before love was a word that they spoke out loud. It had been sudden and constant, and taking it away from her (even if she was completely aware and conscious of her decision) had been a torture, as if she had chosen to punish herself, instead of him.
So, during the meals, she noticed that she also missed him physically.
Coming from a culture where touch was normal, her love had always been demonstrated in touches, kisses and open words; Regulus had shown her love through understanding and caring, but she had grown used to his touching as well since it meant so much for both the fact that he had gotten over the worst of his phobia of touches just so he could bear her touch and to use it as anaesthesia to his desire. A hand on her back as he walked across, a finger brushing against hers with a smile, his lips on her hers, his body pushing hers against any surface that they could reach.
By the end of September, almost a whole month after their fight, however, the heat between the two in exchanged looks had become unbearable to most people in the house.
"...Cecilia, are you listening to me?" Narcissa asked, annoyed.
Cecilia blinked, looking away from Regulus' jawline.
"I'm sorry?" she asked, blinking.
"Forget about it," Narcissa answered, rolling her eyes. "I was asking you about the book."
