"Hinata-kun, do you earn money from being a spy?" Komaeda asked Hinata.
"Yeah, I do. Why?"
"Well, when we saw your dad, you told him-"
"What?" Kamukura asked. "You saw who?"
Hinata put a hand on his shoulder. "Yeah, a few days ago. I didn't wanna tell you 'cause I thought it would make you upset,"
"What did he do..?" Kamukura sounded horrified. "Did he hurt you? Did he say something bad?"
"He didn't do anything. He kinda yelled and tried to punch me, but I was stronger than him,"
"Okay then. And did something else happen?"
Hinata took a deep breath. He had no idea if it was the right thing to do, but Kamukhra had a right to know.
"Yeah. Uh, mom is... she passed away,"
"...I see. How?"
"Dad pushed her down the stairs because she was pregnant and they didn't want a baby,"
"..." Kamukura looked down. His hair fell in front of his face, so Hinata couldn't tell what kind of expression he had.
"Izuru?"
"..."
"Hey, it's gonna be okay." He pulled him into a hug.
"H-Hajime..." he sniffled.
"Are you crying?"
"Y-yes... apologies,"
"Don't apologize." He rubbed his back.
Kamukura whiped his eyes and pulled away from the hug. "Thank you for telling me,"
"Of course,"
"I suppose it makes sense he would do something like that. He's not the brightest. I hate him... I mean, I hated mom too, but... she didn't deserve to die exactly,"
"Yeah, I agree. I also think-"
Suddenly, a car alarm went off. The three boys looked out the window and saw a group of teenagers running away from a burning car. Hinata sighed and climbed out the window once again. Kamukura ran out of the room and into the hallway to grab a fire extinguisher.
Komaeda watched as Hinata caught the teenagers and tied them together before calling the police. Kamukura put out the fire.
They were so strong and fast... it was a bit sad, considering what they had to go through to become like that.
The pale boy made his way over to the scene. "What the heck did they do?" He asked, looking at the culprits.
A police car arrived and two officers left it. "Are these the guys who did this?" He asked Hinata.
"They ran away from the scene of the crime, so I'm assuming they are." He shrugged. "You're welcome for the help. You don't gotta pay me, it's on the house." He pat the officer's shoulder and left, being followed by the others.
"Why would they set a car on fire?" Kamukura asked.
"Maybe it was just a dumb prank," Hinata told him.
"A really dumb one,"
Komaeda didn't get it. They were so ready to risk themselves. They had been so close to a burning car that Komaeda thought could explode any minute.
Hinata had said that he could sense danger, yet he chose to do something so dangerous. Did he just not care? Did it not matter to him if he got hurt?
