Ch. 4 lol
The sky seemed to sputter out bits of summer rain from its dark mass and onto the castle. Not to mention it felt like one of those days for Vesper; a stay in her room with a fire going, curled up in the windowsill reading a book- kind of day. However, that was not the day that she was getting so far.
"Hit harder!" Delighla growled at her.
Drops of sweat rolled down Vesper's focused face and into the trampled grass.
Vesper's fist went straight into her sparing partner's stomach, while simultaneously blocking a well aimed kick from Delighla with her other hand. The sparring mate landed two heavy blows on the girl the moment she blocked Delighla. Vesper had been fighting this seemingly tireless sparing mate since before the sun's first rays touched the training ground. It had been like this for two days now. Two excruciating days filled with nothing but training.
Vesper's mood was worsening. She had bruises on top of bruises. Cuts on top of cuts. Not to mention, She was mentally and physically exhausted. she was angry- and with each blow exchanged coupled with each time she was chewed out by Delighla- it only darkened. She had had enough of this, but there was no chance of her stopping. 'Quitting equals weakness and weakness equals death.' One of the many sayings drilled into her by her merciless trainer.
"Hey!" Delighla yelled in her ear as she punched vesper while kicked her legs out from underneath her.
Vesper clutched her chest as she waited for the air to return to her lungs. She felt the water from the grass cool her sweaty back.
"You lost focus. Again." Delighla threw her hands in the air in frustration.
"I know-" Vesper panted.
"No, you don't! I don't know where your mind is, but you better pull yourself together or else."
"Or else what?" She had had enough.
She truly didn't care anymore.
Delighla gave her a, you- really- want- to- go there-, look.
"Alright. Get up. You fight me, now."
Vesper took a moment to push herself up, pausing at each stage of getting off the ground. She held up her finger in order to catch her breath.
Her sparing mate took this time to move to the outside of the arena, for even he could feel the intense vibe Delighla was giving off. Usually, he knew, she would play around with Vesper and force her to work till she couldn't move anymore, but for the past two days - it has not been the case. She was preparing Vesper for the street? He no doubt would be let in on what the plan is, but he worried for the young princess. He was interrupted from His thoughts by three students coming to practice but when they saw Delighla, they stopped and began asking him questions.
"I'll wait. You're going to need all of your strength just to keep up."
"One cannot simply rush perfection." Vesper's sarcastic side resurfaced.
Delighla smirked and if Vesper looked closely enough, she'd be able to see the slight tremble in Delighla's hands, for she was both furious and amused. By now there was a rather large crowd gathering, but they were silent. They knew, things were about to get ugly, but what human could resist seeing a one sided fight? Especially one with Delighla, 'The Human Torch' fighting.
Delighla got into her fighting stance while Vesper did the same.
Vesper could feel the air begin to heat up causing sweat to pour and make her clothes wet enough to look like they had just come straight out of the lake. Delighla wasn't even using her powers yet. It was her aura.
