Sure enough, as the day wore away, there was a knock on her door. Two guards awaited her with a sour look on their face. Then again it wasn't just a sour look, one of them had a black eye and the other a bruised cheek. Vesper almost laughed but knew better to hold her tounge. She knew that this has to be the work of Delighla.

He awkwardly cleared his throat.

"Delighla sent us."

She definitely was listening to us talk last night.

"We are here to escort you to your first fight." The second one said with eyes burning with humiliation.

"Right this way." the first one motioned.

Vesper nodded and followed them down the hallway towards the arena.

If only Charlie could see me now. His jaw would hit the floor.

The guy coughed into his hand and they began to make their way down the hallway. The entire hallway was being lit with crystals, most likely mined from the crystal caves that her and her friends had been heading towards.

She sighed. All she could do was be lead along.

What I would give to be there swimming in the springs with my friends. I wouldn't have to worry about tomorrow or the Tournament of Kings in two moons. I just wish things weren't so complicated.

The closer they grew to the arena, the more nervous she became. She felt split, with a small feeling of excitement for the fight but the larger more prominent feeling wanted to turn around and hide in her room. To ignore everything and to not do this. Then the words of Delighla snuck back into her mind.

"You will fight whether you're ready or not."

The feeling to flee immediately vanished and the nervousness began to fade. Before she knew it, she was being introduced into the arena after her opponent.

"Clench your teeth! Find your resolve and win!" The small announcer boomed.

The crowd went crazy with each word he spoke. Soon they were shouting the words he was speaking.

"Five! Four! Three! TWO. ONE! FIGHT!!!!"

The roar of the crowd was defending and the spot lights were trained on them. Vesper brought her body in the proper fighting stance and awaited for the first attack from her opponent. He stood, a massive man covered in an insane amount of muscle and tattoos. However, the one thought that echoes through Vesper's mind was, "Delighla's scarier."

The man growled while charging at Vesper, attempting to hit her with his undersized fists compared to the rest of his body which she evaded effortlessly. The moment he sent another punch aimed for her head, she struck.

Having trained for a week straight, had its advantages. Her fist hit his nose and blood immediately began to spurt from it. The hit put him in a daze, but what shocked Vesper was that she didn't even hit him that hard. She really was just testing everything out in all reality. After a moment Vesper realized that he was still in a daze and so she began rapid fire on his head and arms, which desperately tried to block her. He bellowed again and in a split second while Vesper hands were exchanging blows on his arms, he punched. Vesper saw the fist coming towards her but knew that she had no way to react to get out of the way. Pain exploded in her nose but luckily no blood flowed down her face like it did to him.

That hurt! but I know his rhythm. He's done now.

Vesper charged at the man, faked a blow, which was used to get positioning to jump straight in the air. Upon her descent, she then used her speed to land a kick on his head. The moment she made contact, his knees cracked and his heavy body could not longer hold his own weight. He fell on the ground and began to cry while Vesper stood in the center of the ring awkwardly.
