The finalizing of the bracketing for the fights were finalized when the participants fought three rounds. As Vesper blew through her second and third fights, her place in the bracket was finalized as well. She made it into the B bracket- no surprise there.

The fights will now be in three main groups. A: the highest rated fighters, B: good, and C: average. Each bracket will fight among themselves and the top six people in each group will advance to the one on one's- the final round. Vesper stood with nerves so tight that they could be played like a harp, as she stood in the center of the arena with the rest of the participants. Vesper had watched the C team battle and what the fight she was about to participate in, made her sure that this was something that she's never done before. The amount of judges placed all around the massive square also added onto the stress. Their gazes appeared as if they would hold no mercy and were already ready for it to end. Placement battles were one thing, but this is a whole different kind of battle.

Loosing in this battle happens if someone gets knocked out or stepping out of the designated ring. Then to add on to all the stress, there are one hundred people in the ring. Out of one hundred, only six can pass. That is what made her nervous.

"Greenie! Long time no see." Neeko called out.

Vesper let out a long audible sigh.

Of course he's in group B.

He sharpened his gaze at the sight of her as he made his way closer to her, clearly indicating that he had something to say. He leaned close and whispered in her ear. Vesper looked at him and nodded. She felt so much better.

A teamup is perfect! I couldn't have planned it any better myself.

Not having to worry about one less person to fight against made it easier for Vesper to deal with mentally and something about Neeko reminded her of someone.

The announcer riled the crowd up by saying something along the lines of what he said at all the previous fights.

"5...4...3...2...1!" The crowd, which was significantly larger than all the crowds she'd seen yet, chanted with the announcer to signal the start of the fight.

The fighting began quickly. Men punched on other people, women pounced on their victims and others were exchanging kicks and punches. It was pure chaos and Vesper had no idea where to start.

"Don't chicken out on me now, Greenie." Neeko yelled over the racket.

"I'm not scared! I just don't know where to start." She said crouching in an even lower stance when a pair fighting each other almost bumped into her.

"We start with those not paying attention." he pointed to two people fighting close to the out of bounds line.

He pointed to her, than pointed to his eyes. Using his extraordinary speed, he sprinted over and hit one of the guys that had fallen down from the blow of another, then hit the women out of bounds who had thrown the punch. He was a blur except for his spotted tail which allowed her to visually follow his movements.

Ah. So it's like that.

Vesper copied what she had seen Neeko do, except it didn't work out as well.

"You dare attempt to steal my prey weakling?" A man with an oversized eyepatch growled.

"Just helping out." Vesper answered meekly.

He began to charge at her but before he could take more than two steps, Neeko came up behind him and kicked him in the head which spun him right out of  the ring.
