Let's Get Revenge

The Killings

Percy Jackson was sitting in bed at Camp Half Blood, sobbing into his pillow. All of his friends were dead, all killed in horrible ways.
Frank Zhang and Hazel Levesque, killed by a nearby explosion in a warehouse.

Jason Grace and Piper McLean, killed by a monster unarmed while going a on a romantic walk.

Leo Valdez and Calypso, died in a car accident coming back from their machine shop.

Nico di Angelo and Will Solace, Nico shadow traveling too much and weakening, Will committing suicide because of it.

Tyson, drowned after a hippocampus left him in the middle of the lake with no way back to shore.

Grover, killed by a wildfire settling a dispute between nymphs in California.

The death that made him cry the most was Annabeth Chase, his Wise Girl. The person he knew for so long and had fallen in love with. The person who went to Tartarus and back with him, who survived two wars.
She was murdered by a supporter of the giants from the war, stabbed several times. She wasn't brought to the infirmary fast enough, and she died in his arms. The blood was still all over his arms and shirt, just barely dried. He sat sobbing in his cabin for hours until he finally pulled himself together to go to the funeral and say his speech.

"Annabeth Chase was an amazing person, and was very intelligent." Said Percy, barely holding his tears back. "We went through so much together, she went with me on my first quest, she survived two wars with me. We went to Tartarus and back, barely surviving the whole time, but we had each other." By now he was tearing up, and wiped them away. "She wasn't just a hero though, she was someone's daughter, someone's friend. She was the love of my life and she will be missed".
Percy walked up to the casket and put his hand on the smooth wood.
"I love you Annabeth Chase, and I always will. I'm sad that I never got to marry you, raise a family with you, and grow old together. But I will remember you as the love of my life, and you always will."
He ended his speech with tears falling from his eyes, and walked back over to his seat, getting comfort from his mom and stepdad, Sally and Paul. The funeral went on with her friends and family coming up to the podium and talking about how amazing she was, and how she will be missed. Sally kept an arm around Percy the entire time and grew angrier and angrier as time progressed. All these people, were heartbroken by her death, and she was dead because the gods wouldn't let her have a normal life.
They forced her into risking her life at such a young age, and she never had any time to relax and enjoy her childhood while it was still there. None of the seven got to get old or enjoy themselves for that long, because the gods sent them into battle because they couldn't save their own butts.
After the funeral, Sally, Paul and Percy decided to go to Cabin Three to pack Percy's things, since he was going home for the school year. They stayed silent the entire time. Percy stopping to cry every once in a while, Sally comforting him. When he calmed down they would continue packing and repeat.
When they were almost done packing, Sally saw Percy leave as he mumbled something about talking to Chiron. They let him leave, which they would look back on as the worst mistake they could have ever made. When Percy didn't come back for about ten minutes, Sally and Paul went to go look for him. They headed to the farmhouse, and when they got there they saw Percy talking to Zeus. He looked like he was in an intense conversation so they didn't intrude, but then they saw something they would never forget.

Zeus snapped his fingers and all of a sudden a large lightening bolt flashed from the sky and hit Percy. When the light went away and Sally and Paul's vision came back, Percy was not moving on the ground, and Zeus looked horrified at what he had done. The only noise in the next few seconds was Sally's scream as she ran towards her son.

The next thing she knew she was kneeling next to Percy, screaming at the top of her lungs at why Zeus would do this, cussing him out while sobbing heavy tears. Paul was sitting next to her, giving her a tight hug not letting her go. Zeus was trying to explain that he had no idea what happened and that it felt like he was being controlled. But Sally didn't care. She screamed until she couldn't scream anymore, sobbed until she couldn't sob anymore, and passed out from exhaustion.

A/N~ So that was the first chapter, I think I did a pretty good job. There was a lot of emotion and I feel so bad for Sally, but this was necessary. Comment how you think I did. Was it good? Was it bad? If you liked this chapter, vote please.
