Everything was moving just so fast. Rose screamed for Andrés in a high-pitched voice. I froze in place and couldn't move or understand what was happening. This had never happened before in any timeline! What in the world should I do right now?

"Someone, call the doctor!" Shouted Greg as he ran over to help Andrés, who was on the ground. Blood is traveling downward from the top of Andrés' shirt.

I don't know what came over me, but I picked up Andrés and ran with him in my arms. I wasn't sure where to go. Maybe the closest hospital? There was no time to think, but I knew I needed to do something!

"Don't you dare let her leave this room," I angrily shouted to whoever was in the room with tears pouring down my face. I need to leave this house as fast as I can.

A car stopped in front of the house.

"Son, what is wrong?" Asked father as he got out of the car and ran toward me.

"Andrés ate something, and he started to throw up blood. Now, he is not waking up, and we need to take him to the hospital. And--," I said but started to hyperventilate.

"I can't-- breath--," I said in between my tears, trying to get air in my lungs. My words get stuck in my throat as I attempt to explain. Each time I tried to get air, I couldn't get any oxygen.

The last thing I remember is that they took Andrés from my hands as I tried to hold on to his clothes. Someone removed my grasp as my vision got patchy.

I woke up to a patient monitor device slowly beeping in the background and saw Andrés connecting to different medical devices that I could not name. He is surrounded by a doctor and several nurses as they talk to each other.

I try to get up from the chair, but my legs give out.

"We ran some tests, but we are unsure what is causing Andrés not to wake up," said Dr. Charles to Alpha and my parents.

We are in Andrés' large room.

"Andrés was able to heal from the poison very quickly, but there is no sign that indicates that he's waking up right now," the doctor explains to us.

"How long before he wakes up?" Alpha August asked with a large and heavy sigh that filled the room.

"We can't say for sure. It could be a couple of days to a couple of weeks. Maybe more," said the doctor calmly.

"Alpha, we have a situation," said a panicking Greg, and he rushed into the room.

Greg tries to whisper in the Alpha's ear but fails to keep anything a secret. The whole room is filled with werewolves. What did he expect?

"Hope's water broke, and she said that her stomach was starting to hurt. What should I do?" Asked Greg as he ran his fingers through his hair.

"Doc, can you deliver a baby? " Alpha August asked as the whole room looked at Dr. Charles.

"We will soon find out," he said, telling several of the nurses to follow him. Likewise, Greg, the Alpha, and father left soon after.

The only one who stays is Omma. She stayed with me.

"Ethan, how are you feeling?" Asked Omma as comes closer to me.

"I'm fine," I said without thinking. The truth was that I was the farthest from being fine.

Andrés may not wake up and-- and--.

Omma quietly pulls me into a hug. Although I wasn't much of a hugger, I really need one now. I rarely need one, but I really need one right now.

If only I knocked the plate out of Andrés' hands faster, we wouldn't be in this mess.

I knew Hope was trouble, and I just sat there waiting for her to make her first move like an idiot. I never thought she would try to poison me. How stupid am I? All of this mess is my fault.

"Stop it," said Mom as she pulled away. My teary eyes look up at her.

"You need to stop things. You are overthinking too much," she tells me.

"But it's all my fault. If I had been faster, none of this would have happened. Andrés wouldn't be lying in bed without waking up," I tried to explain without raising my voice, but I couldn't control my tone.

"It's no one's fault," said omma as she tried to reassure me.

"You are just saying that because you are my parent," I tell her as I smile a little.

Not thinking is hard to do. Today was practically hard.

"We need your help," said Greg to Omma as he opened the door once again.

"I will be right back," said Mom as she left Andrés' room.

I gave a nod, and then she was gone.

There was only Andrés, and I left in his room.

I move over to his side, and I hold his hand that is not connected to the IV.

"I'm so sorry," I whisper to Andrés even though he can't hear me.

"Please wake up, Andrés," I pled with him.

"I really need you right now," I said as I squeezed his hand tight, but only beeps from the monitor filled the room.

As my emotions take hold of me once again, I tell myself, " He has to wake up. He just has to. "

My phone rings. It's from Max.

Decline. It is probably unimportant, and I already have too much on my plate.

I sent him a quick text and closed my phone. I will talk to him later. Right now, I am still feeling overwhelmed by everything.

Andrés is in a "coma," and Hope has just gone into labor.

Just great!

"Ethan, I want to report to you what happened downstairs," said Rose as she entered the room.

"Sure," he said.

"Wait, you are not Ethan," said Rose as she moved quickly away from him.
