a/n: Hey guys!! Sorry it's been a while, i've been busy. just wanted to inform you, this book has no smut. so if you're looking for it, wrong place. Happy reading!!

"We told you we'd contact you. Why did you come here?" The guard asks me. He's the one who shot me. Suddenly, I remember what I was supposed to do. I have to text Jamie. "Do you hear what i'm saying, princess?" He says this with an evil grin.

"You lied." I reply angrily.

"Maybe a little."

"Try again."

"Okay, a lot." He laughs."Oh, and we'll find your little friend. We're already looking." He leaves. There are undoubtedly cameras in here. I'm in a square room with one light, a skylight in the middle if the ceiling. I am tied to a chair in the corner. I need to text Jamie. Thank goodness they didn't find my phone. The ropes are too easy to get out of. Something's up. I barricade the door and pull out my phone.

They have me in a holding cell in sector nine. I can't respond, i'm destroying the phone. They know nothing, i've kept everything a secret. Get the kids first. -JT

Within seconds, I get a response.

I need you first. I'm on the way. -JC

I drop the phone and stomp on it after deleting the texts. I take out the microchip and swallow it. I then take the chair away from the door and sit in it on the opposite side of the room. All I have to do now is wait. I grab as much rope as I can fit into my pockets. When you're wearing cargo pants, that's about thirty feet. I wrap the approximate 20 feet left around my waist. Why they would use so much rope baffles me. Suddenly, I hear gunshots. I stand up as Jamie steps in.

"What was that?"

"Tranquilizer. They'll wake up soon with no memory of us." I smile and hug him. "Did he really shoot you?"

"No, I just have a bloody bandage on my leg because I want to."

"Terrible. Look who I found," He barely has time to finish when Anna steps out and hugs me.

"Anna!"

"Sorry to ruin the moment, but we need to get a move on."

"sorry, right." We walk for about thirty feet and come across a locker that he stops at.

"Put these on," he says handing us gas masks. We run and then find the time machine and step inside. He tells us it's clear to take off the masks. I am then hooked up to life support.

"I'll go put the kids to bed. James is in the back room." About five minutes later, he comes back and sits beside me on the couch. I lay my head on his shoulder and he wraps his arm around me. We sit like this for a long time. I suddenly feel a drop hit my forehead and look up. He is crying.

"What is it?"

"The security guard. The one with the brown hair and green eyes. I had to kill him. He said he wouldn't miss this time. I'm assuming he's the one who shot you."

"Yeah, that's him." We sit there awhile in sad silence. I almost fall asleep.

"Jane?" He says, jolting me awake.

"Yeah?"

"Do you still love me?"

"Of course. Why?"

"Because I need to ask you a question."

"yeah?"

"Will you marry me?" I smile and nod with tears in my eyes. "Good. Now let's go get some sleep." We walk to his bedroom, the kids took mine. I then enter a blissful sleep, despite my pain.
