One month later

After Aoi's training with Urokodaki Sakonji, she had perfected all forms of Water Breathing and made a new form that she and Urokodaki were working on perfecting until. "Aoi are you ready to leave or do you want to stay for one more night" a familiar voice come from behind her.

"Oto-San!" Aoi said running over toward Giyu hugging him. "How did Urokodaki-San treat my Utsukushi Musume" Giyu said hugging Aoi back. "Sensei treated me well we even started to master a new form of Water Breathing. We named it Raging Flood of Peace" Aoi proclaimed excitedly as Sakonji went over to the two. Sakonji motioned to Aoi that he wanted to talk to Giyu alone, and Aoi went into the house to make the three some tea.

"Tomioka, Aoi has made amazing progress in only a month she has become very strong and skilled to the point that if she wanted to she could take your place as a Hashira. I think it's in her best interest to take the Final Selection and become an official member of the Demon Slayer Corps" Sakonji said. "Urokodaki-San, I told you that I want her to live a normal, comfortable life and not have to worry about demons. I want Aoi to live a life I never had a chance to have" Giyu stated. "Then you have to tell her that. She asked me how she could join the Demon Slayer Corps and I told her the first thing she needed to do. She kill 20 demons that I ensured she was able to kill and not get hurt, she got rid of any fears she could have while facing demons. While I agree with whatever you want for her you have to tell her what you won't allow her to do instead of giving her ultimatums." Sakonji told Giyu. "I'll talk to her about it after her birthday" Giyu said.  "Tomioka that is a year from now if I remember correctly she told me her birthday is April 16th," Sakonji said, and before Giyu could say anything Aoi called them in as the tea was done.

The three of them continued to talk until nightfall as Aoi got ready to leave. "Bye Urokodaki-San" Aoi said waving to Urokodaki "Bye Aoi I'll see you in a month" Sakonji said watching Aoi forcing Giyu to tell Urokodaki bye. "Bye Urokodaki" Giyu said as he picked up Aoi and went back to their estate.

Timeskip

It was a day before Aoi's birthday and the two got ready to go to the Cherry Blossom Festival. "Oto-San I'm ready" Aoi said as she left her room to show Giyu.

When she saw Giyu in his Demon Slayer uniform she went to his room to pick out proper clothes only seeing one other outfit in his closet. Aoi gave Giyu the outfit telling him to change "While we're out we need to get you more clothes and some more food" Aoi said before Giyu went back to his room to change.
