Five months later (one day before Mt. Natagumo Arc)

"Shinobu. Can you please tell Tomioka-San to stop getting out of bed? At this point I'm going to have to tie him down" Kanae said to Shinobu. "I'll try. You know how he is. He would rather... Deal with the injury by training and going on missions than staying in bed" Shinobu said as Gyiu walked down the Butterfly Mansion's halls. "Oto-San you need to let your body rest properly. You promised me you would" Aoi pouted. "No, I promised I wouldn't put my body in more harm. And it's not like I pass out anymore." Giyu laughed "Tomioka-San, stop having Aoi take you out of your room" Kanae said with veins appearing on her forehead. "Okay... Kocho, the master wants to talk to us later" Giyu said before leaving to watch the fish in the pond. "*Sigh* I knew I should've told Oyakata-Sama about Tomioka's condition, instead of letting Uzui handle it" Kanae said as Aoi giggled. 

Later that evening

"Good afternoon my children. I know that you were injured pretty badly, and I hope you are doing okay Tomioka. And Shinobu could you give my apologies to Kanae for having Tomioka leave the mansion for a few days" Kagaya said. "Yes, I tell Kanae. But I think She'll be angered at Uzui-San instead" Shinobu said making Kagaya laugh a little. "Master, what do you mean by having me leave the Butterfly Mansion?" Giyu asked. Kagaya's mood changed into a serious one at Giyu's question. "I have gotten reports from Slayers on Mt. Natagumo that a lot of them are dying. Which means that one of the twelve Kizuki is on that mountain. I would have chosen Rengoku or Uzui but they still haven't come back from their mission, and you two are the only Hashira that can make it there in time" Kagaya said. "What about Muichiro and Yuichiro" Giyu asked "They have the day off. Since they wanted to have a break before they start their Hashira duties" Kagaya replied. "Okay, we'll get going then" Shinobu said stopping Giyu from questioning Kagaya more. "I hope you two succeed with minimum casualties" Kagaya said. Shinobu and Giyu bowed to Kagaya and left to get ready to head to Mt. Natagumo

With Tanjiro and Inosuke

"Inosuke, be careful not to kill them. They're not dead, they're tied up by string" Tanjiro said to Inosuke. "I know that Gonpachiro" Inosuke yelled cutting the thread off the slayers. "Hey you demon. Come down here and fight me" Inosuke yelled at the demon walking over the treetops. What does Kusho think he's doing? Going to Lord Muzan and demand to fight an Upper Moon for their position. He doesn't even deserve to be Lower One, Lord Muzan only gave him that position because of his strength, not his loyalty. Rui thought ignoring Inosuke.

After a couple of minutes, Rui made his way to Mother. "Ru-rui ho-how was y-your mee-meeting" Mother asked. She looked Rui in the face and saw he was unusually angry "Mother, why are there still Demon Slayers that are alive? I saw at least three living Demon Slayers on my way here" Rui asked enraged at remembering what Kusho said.

Earlier at the Lower Moon meeting

"You six know why you're here right" Muzan asked angered by the Lower Moons. "Yes Lord Muzan" all but one Lower Moon responded. "Kusho, do you not know why you're here or do you think you're above me" Muzan asked as Kusho shook his head. "I know why they're here but why am I here? I mean I'm far above them and I'm even above the Upper Moons. So I think that I shouldn't be here rather Daki should or Gyokko, Hantengu, Akaza, Doma, hell even Kokushibo can take my place here" Kusho said angering Muzan. "Kusho, what are you getting at" Muzan asked veins popping out of his head. "That the Upper Moons are all out of date. It's not impressive that the Upper ranks haven't changed in over one hundred years if the only thing keeping them alive is incompetence. Why I want to take the place of Upper Three if that's okay with you "Lord Muzan" I'll even keep him alive after I defeat him so he can try and fight me again" Kusho said giving Muzan his challenge to Akaza. "If you want to fight Akaza then so be it. Everyone but Kusho may leave just remember... you're all disappointments" Muzan said dismissing them.
