Chapter Fifteen Sweet Serenity
This is the last chapter (other than the epilogue). I am honestly sad to see it go, but, with this story finishing, it gives me the room to start a new one. The new one I'm writing will be a Jaime Preciado story. (Yes, it's my second Jaime Preciado story). I hope any of you willing will give it a look. I plan to post the prologue to my profile as soon as I post this, so if you are interested, please give it a look.
A week before Warped Tour ends.
"This could possibly be the best show that we ever put on," Tino says, smiling at me as I sit next to him in the front of the bus.
"You say that almost every single time you guys put on a show," I mutter, laying my head on the table, hoping to stop the throbbing.
"We convince Kevin that it was an important day, and he's letting us have twice the time, since Tonight Alive ended their run with Warped yesterday, and there wasn't a band to fill their spot."
"So you guys have a double set today? What songs are you going to play?"
"I can't tell you, Austin wants everything to be a surprise."
I rolled my eyes, standing up and walking towards the kitchenette area, grabbing some advil and taking it before walking back to the table. They have been talking about doing something for weeks now, and I still had no idea what they wanted to do.
"Morning guys," Alan said, stumbling out of the bunks, sitting next to me and laying his head on my shoulder.
"Will you tell me what's so special about today?" I ask, turning towards him.
"Austin made me promise I wouldn't. He said he'd take my cat if I told you."
I rolled my eyes and stood up, causing Alan to groan and move to the other bench. Today was an earlier set than normal. Austin was already at the stage trying to set something up. I woke Phil and Aaron on my way to the back lounge, picking my bag off of the ground and carrying it into the lounge with me.
I slid on my black cut-off shorts, with a cut-off white Of Mice and Men shirt. I wanted to be comfy today, knowing that I'd have to stand for longer than normal. Usually the sets were bearable with how long they were, and this one being closer to noon, and longer, made it so that I knew it would be hotter than normal. It wasn't going to be a nice seven o clock show.

I stood side stage, smiling as I watched my best friends, my boyfriend on stage, doing what they love. They opened with Public Service Announcement, then played, Broken Generation, Letlive, This One's For you, Feels like Forever, and they're currently playing Would You Still Be There.
It was a good show, and the crowd was absolutely loving it. Once they finished the song, they went on to play Second & Sebring. I knew Austin always loved the response that he got with this song. It was hard for him, sharing his mother's story with everyone. He managed well though, and he loved it.
When they finished the song, I got ready for them to come off stage. Austin stayed on stage while everyone else came off, and Austin turned towards me, smiling at me and cocking his head to the side. Aaron took his mic setup off, putting it on me, pushing me onto the stage.
"Come on out here, Dev," Austin said, smiling as I walked onto the stage, stopping short of him, leaving a few feet of room between us. He finished the distance, wrapping his arm around me. "As most of you probably know I am dating Devon." There was a loud roar from the crowd.
"Devon, I love you. I honestly can't see my life without you," Austin says, holding one of my hands in his. His other hand holding the microphone, sweat dripping from his forehead. He was smiling at me, a smile that made me remember every reason that I loved him.
"I honestly didn't plan out what I wanted to say," he says, dropping my hand and rubbing the back of his neck, letting out a laugh. "I love you, and that's all I really know. I don't know what our lives will hold five years from now. I don't know if I'll be in the band still, I don't know if we'll have kids, I don't know if we'll still even be together.
"I only know what I want," he says, my eyes watering as he grabs my hand again, looking me in the eyes, "I know that I want you and I, facing whatever comes at us, standing hand and hand together."
Austin drops my hand, dropping to one knee, "Aus," I mutter, my voice barely coming out, the mic barely picking up the simple word.
"Devon, please don't make me have to ask this again," he says, digging into his pocket, pulling out a blue velvet box. "Will you marry me?"
I can't speak, I know I'm crying. I drop to my knees, wrapping my arms around Austin. "Yes, yes Austin," I say, my voice being muffled in the mic by Austin's shoulder. He stood up, holding me in his arms.
He set me on my feet, not letting go until he knew that I was stable. He took the ring out of the box, taking my hand and sliding the ring onto my finger. I threw my arms around his neck, and kissed him, not caring that there was a crowd directly by us.

The guys and I decided to go to a bar in town to celebrate. I didn't care what we did, I was still on a cloud of euphoria.
One tour. One tour was all it took to set this in motion. One tour, one interview, one tumblr post. I don't know if that tumblr post hadn't been brought up, if this all would have happened.
"Quit thinking, Dev. Just come relax with us, have a drink," Austin says, whispering in my ear.
"I need to talk to Tino first, I promise I'll come find you as soon as I talk to him," I say, kissing Austin's cheek and walking back towards where the taxi dropped us off. Phil, Alan and Aaron were in the bar with Austin, Tino had stayed behind to talk to someone back in California.
"Hey, why aren't you in the bar?" Tino asks, coming into view from the corner of a building.
"I needed to talk to you, I figured it would be easier to do it this way, instead of in the bar."
"Sit, talk," Tino says, giving me a goofy grin and sitting on the sidewalk, his feet stretched into the alleyway.
"I had something I needed to ask you, it might sound weird," I start, trailing off, not knowing how to ask. I look at Tino and he's giving me an encouraging look. "Well, as you know, my dad's dead. So the typical, dad walking his daughter down the aisle won't work in my case. It's way too soon to even be worried about it, but I was hoping that you'd stand in, walk me down the aisle."
"Devon, I'll always be there by your side."
"Til death do us part?" I ask, laughing at myself.
"Til death do us part, or until Austin and you move away and have tons of babies, forgetting about me and the band."
"We'd never forget about you."
"I know, now let's go get wasted. It's time to celebrate."

**THERE WILL BE AN EPILOGUE SO STAY TUNED**
A/N Yes, it's another short chapter. But, I figured it got what it needed done. They're gonna get hitched, and everyone's happy.
Please let me know how you feel about the way this story turned out.
Thanks guys.
