Not surprisingly, he hadn't let me go. Not Physically, nor mentally, he couldn't. When we had arrived at the restaurant, the waiter did their job, as any other, and yet he couldn't let anything go. He stared at me throughout the entire way here, and at the moment he was still doing so. I tilted my head, and cleared my hair out of my face, just to get a better look at him as well.

-"Heard you were about to get married, no?"- Nonchalantly, starting a conversation while maintaining eye contact.

-"Supposedly, according to him, I never agreed to anything personally."- I closed my eyes, and smiled, breaking eye contact and starting to read the menu.

-"You could be better off, not leading men on like that."- He, too, started reading the menu. But his words, left me a little perplexed. They sounded more personal.

-"This restaurant has horrible vegetarian options."- Assuming, he'd know of my dietary restrictions, he'd take me somewhere with kinder options.

-"Kind of like the men you seem to draw in, either way, I know of that, but they have nice desserts."- Almost laughing at his own joke, he recuperated his stance in knowledge of me.

-"Well, at least it has something sweet, unlike you, bitter arsehole."- Looking up at him to say this with a smile on my face, and lying through my teeth.

-"Real kind of you to say that, seems you haven't forgotten of me completely."- He waves to the waiter, signaling that we're ready to order. While I look at him, a little shocked, it seems we were thinking the same thing.

-"I couldn't forget you, even if I tried, which I don't, Chrollo."- As he tends to be more turned off towards emotions, I expected nothing in return, instead I was met with a warm smile, after that we both ordered our meals.

A few minutes had passed while an overwhelming quiet ran through our table, we just stared at one another. I was trying to figure out how I was going to tell him, and he seemed very interested in the worry in my eyes. So much so, he reached his hand out to slightly grab mine, with only his fingertips touching the back of the hand.

-"What happened at the Zoldyck Mansion that lead you back to me?"- Never one to twist his language to get what he wants, he came at me very straight forward.

-"God, Kuro, I wanted to hang myself every second I spent there."- I couldn't make up any respect, or dignity, not even humanity to say that while looking at his face, even so, he just grabbed my hand and squeezed it gently, so, when I looked up, his worried eyes would invade my personal space, as they always do.

-"I had a thing, with the oldest brother, Illumi? Don't know if you know him, point is, his family was cool with it, until they found out of my affiliations with you."- His brow furrowed at my words, even still he just nodded for me to keep going.

-"Apparently, Silva, the family's patriarch, has an issue with you, and commanded his family, to torture everything out of me, when I found out, I knew I had to go. But, I think... No, well, I know, that they know, everything."- Chrollo's face didn't change, as if though, he already knew this story.

-"Once I found out that they knew, I went straight to Zyno, Silva's dad, the only one who hadn't tortured me, and he gave me all the details, and so, we hat-" His hand pulled away from mine as the food arrived, we said our thanks and he kept listening to my story.

-"Anyway, we hatched a plan. I would tell Silva where you were, and they'd let me go. Illumi thinks I abandoned him, and it was agreed that his family weren't to discuss this to him."- Looking down, as to escape my own lies to him, when I looked back up at him, he had kept eating, as calm as ever, until he slammed his cutlery on the table.

-"So, point is, you sold me out. Do they know where I am right now?"- My face was contorted with fear, as this was exactly what I didn't want him to think. His face on the other hand, was calm, except for the slight furrow in his eyebrows, and the desire in his eyes to die.

-"Kuro, I would never sell you out. I've taken every precaution to make sure that there is nothing on me to reveal our location, and either way, I would never do that to you, I would rather die first."- Apparently that was even worse of me to say, because the spark in his eyes, faded into anger.

-"You are forbidden to even think, that I'd let you die for me, you're being idiotic, and I don't want to discuss this further, let's just come up with a game plan."- During his rant, he kept his eyes close, and tried his best to not raise his voice at me, and still, I couldn't contain myself, I needed to cry.

It started off with my eyes welling up, and dodging everything near Chrollo, I hadn't realized just how much I'd missed someone caring for me, nor how much my defense mechanism had changed since living with the Zoldycks. Chrollo looked up at me, and immediately rushed to comfort me, his hands were on both of my shoulders and his face was inches from mine.

And still, I couldn't stop crying, all of a sudden, I was hyperventilating, and sobbing uncontrollably into Lucilfer's shirt. He had hidden my head with his fur coat, he knew how embarrassing this felt for me, but I couldn't stop, I didn't stop, until he finally told me, what I know consider to be miracle words.

-"Princess, what they did to you, wasn't your fault. And yes, I am angry, but you can't blame yourself. I understand, I'm sorry I didn't try harder for you. I'm really happy to see you again."-

Slowly, I started calming down, eventually poking my head out of his coat, to be met with a familiar face staring at me worriedly, but with a truly kind expression. Once I was fully out of his embrace, he hugged me again, and after a shared sigh, he returned to his seat at the table. He took my hand again, and he smiled at me.

-"We need a game plan, Chrollo. And I have one, actually I have multiple, but let's go with Plan A."-

-"I need everything in detail, okay Aridam? Which means, once you're comfortable you're telling me, in precise detail, what they did to you.

I nodded, and that was all it took for us to go into the plan.
