Most of us are seen as genuine prey, when I say us I refer to humans, those who see us as prey are the weakest among ourselves. Only those that can contain everything can consider themselves stronger than the rest. The why is seen in world leaders, even in the Hunter Association, it's obvious that our leaders, would kill us when we get too rowdy.

That's why, the truly strong, lead behind the scenes, they don't let their emotions take over. Reason being, they understand that we distrust those like us. Hisoka, was strong. Not strong enough to be a real leader, but strong enough to fool others. Even so, he was very weak, emotionally connected to nobody, but constantly yearning said connection.

He hadn't even drunk enough to be honest, yet he already found himself needing to speak, as if it couldn't wait. The last spark of dignity, still fighting, told him to take it upstairs, and he was obedient. Not looking at anyone, didn't matter anyway, because you could still see him struggling to keep it down, he took us to his suite.

Acting always came second nature to him, being a liar did as well. His palms sweaty and his veins popping in his forearm, revealed his intentions. Honesty, was an unusual feat of his, unusual and mostly, inexistent. The walk to his door, damn near killed him, just like it did Chrollo.

Chrollo, on the other hand, is the other side of the coin. Fundamentally, the same, however, his spirit changed immensely. Kuro, allows himself to connect. He does this because he knows how to disconnect easily, he doesn't let himself be attached to those that don't serve him, or don't serve him any longer.

See, I've always been told to attract true men. Whatever that is supposed to mean. The issue here lies in that, these "true men", weaken themselves to accommodate me, almost immediately. I won't fault them so quickly, since, I have that effect on everyone. Yet, it still gets boring. Reading people is boring, so when I want people near me, I ignore the words that leave their tongue, and imprint their actual meaning to myself.

-"Ari, darling, Are you not going to go inside?"- I was brought back from my trance, and I found him holding his own door open for me.

-"Yes, of course."- He smiles at me, as if though he's not about to create an awkward atmosphere.

-"Now, don't shy away from this, Were you truly happy with that emotionless bastard?"- The door was closed, quite politely, unlike what was about to happen between it and the wall.

-"You say that without any shame, as if you are better than him."- Lighting is very important, this specific one, illuminated only him as he crossed his legs on his couch, while I sat opposite from him on his bed.

-"You're avoiding my question. Is it because you're scared I'll tell him?"- Adjusting his position, to put his elbow on his knee, leaning into me, slightly, as he questioned with a grin on his face.

-"Are you disheveled? Funny."- Leaning backwards, and turning my head to face the window, as if it would help avoiding his, seemingly, innocent questioning.

-"Don't worry, sweet. I won't tell him, I'm just curious as to why, you'd prefer him over me"- Finally, he leaned back on the couch, and crossed his arms, not admitting defeat, just searching for a new opening.

-"If you want to get it out of me, be straight up."- Still looking at the window, I tilt my head towards the side, and was marveled at how fast he was reacting.

-"Have you gone mad?"- He put one hand on the arm rest, another on the couch cushion, to help himself stand.

-"I'm only following your advice. Don't trust those who are hiding, right?"- Our short distance became shorter, as he stood before me and took my face into his hands, to make me look at him.
