The next morning Midori-ko woke up to an empty bed which wasn't out of the ordinary Goku liked to wake up before the crack of dawn to train. He was probably deep in the mountains somewhere. Midori-ko began her day with a big healthy breakfast and low impact exercise. The morning sickness came and went throughout the morning but she had plenty of sprite and crackers to help combat it.
By lunch time Goku still hadn't returned. Midori-ko thought about going to look for him, Goku never missed lunch he would always say how good the food smelled as his came through the back door but the fear and anxiety of venturing away from their safe haven made Midori-ko say put. She would be able to defeat whatever came her way but Midori-ko was more cautious being pregnant she didn't want anything to happen to her and Goku's baby.
Midori-ko didn't start making dinner that night at the normal time she wanted to make sure Goku was okay first. This wasn't like him.
Midori-ko was working on a box of cheese nips when the front door opens.
" Midori-ko I'm...""Where have you been?!" Midori-ko snaps walking up to Goku not noticing that he was shirtless and all sweaty

" I was out looking for the dragon balls." Goku tells her right away
" And you couldn't tell me? I was worried sick about you." Midori-ko pokes his chest
" Oh gosh Midori-ko I'm sorry." Goku says

" What if something happened to you?! You don't have a phone...""I don't know how to...""That's right you don't know how to use a phone damn it Goku." Midori-ko tears up
" I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you." Goku looks down
" I love you and if something happened to you I don't know what I'd do." Midori-ko hugs him
" I'm really sorry I just wanted to go get the dragon balls." Goku holds up a bag hugging her with one arm
" What?" She sniffs "Why?" As soon as Midori-ko asks she noticed Goku was looking particularly tight and ripped. She could smell the earthiness coming off Goku and how the sweat made his chiseled chest memorizing.
