Goku sat at the kitchen table as Midori-ko made them dinner. It was almost like the last seven years didn't happen
" So you said the boys wanted to stay at Capsule Corp tonight?" Goku yawns and stretches at the table
" Yeah Gohan said he wanted to give us some privacy." Midori-ko nods checking the rice
" Ah ok." Goku smirks
"Honestly I think he just wanted to spend some alone time with Videl." Midori-ko sniggers
" I mean if he's anything like you were they're probably already screwing." Goku laughs
" I don't remember hearing you complain." Midori-ko smiles bringing over the main course "And don't talk about our baby like that." She sits down across from Goku
" Our baby is 16." Goku reminds her
" I know our little Gohan is almost a grown man." Midori-ko smiles at her food
" He sure is." Goku says "I'm sorry I haven't been here to see our boys grow up."
" Don't beat yourself up." Midori-ko tells him
" I missed a lot of Goten's childhood and Gohan I should have been there for him he was starting puberty and stuff when I died." Goku chewed on his lip
" Gohan surprisingly hasn't been affected by you being gone I think his friendship with Piccolo helped a lot and Goten you can make up for lost time." Midori-ko smiles at Goku "He's a bit more like you than Gohan is."
" He is?"
" Goten's a rowdy little boy but he's still a good kid." Midori-ko shares
"He's going to be my little shadow I just know it." Goku chuckles

" No doubt about that." Midori-ko smiles
" I'm so happy to be home." Goku grabs her hand
" It's really really good to have you here." Midori-ko smiles
" Gohan said you regret not becoming human." Goku brings up going back to his food
" I do but I don't at the same time." Midori-ko shovels food in her mouth
" Why?"
" I can protect my boys when I need to but otherwise I don't ever fight and I feel like what's the point of staying a dragon." Midori-ko shares
" Hey." Goku got her to look at him "If that's what you want to do I can protect both of us now." Goku smiles
" I don't know, Trunks said my hair turned dark brown in his time line." Midori-ko sticks out her tongue
" Oh I see." Goku smirks
" You know how much I love my red hair I don't think I want to give that up." She smirks
