Chapter 4 - The Heartache/Troubled

The sun had set in the sky by the time Sonic went to the theme park. But at the entrance, he sees his friends exiting the theme park. Sonic asked in an upset tone, "YOU ALL WENT WITHOUT ME?!" Tails said rudely, "Obviously." Sonic asked, "Why? I thought we were going to have a good vacation?" Amy replied, "Yeah but not with you!" Sonic gasped and said, "Why did you do this to me?! I'm your friend!" Silver replied, "Were your friends! We are growing tired of you Sonic! Your getting on our nerves!" Shadow said nothing. Blaze and Amy just looked away. Rouge said, "You are just annoying. We all think that. Besides We can't even have a normal life with you in the way." Sonic was hurt by this, he could not believe this. His own friends were going to end things right here and now. That's when Marine said, "We we're going to tell you after summer ends but I think nows the time. Sonic we don't wanna be friends with you anymore." Sally said rudely, "Yeah you annoy me!" Sonic was heart broken and said, "After everything I did for all of you?! You all just think of me as a nuisance?! All this time?!" Everyone agreed. Sonic asked as he turn to Knuckles, "Knux? Are you tired of me too?" Knuckles growled and blushed at Sonics cute and saddened face. That's when Knuckles shouted as he stomped on his foot, "HELL YEAH I AM!! YOU BRING TROUBLE EVERYWHERE WE GO!!" Sonic yelled back, "THAT IS NOT TRUE!!" Knuckles and everyone shouted, "YES IT IS YOU NUISANCE!!" Sonic gasped in shock. Knuckles shouted, "DON'T YOU GET IT YOU IDIOT?! NONE OF THIS WOULD HAPPEN IF YOU DID NOT COME INTO OUR LIVES!" Everyone then said, "I WISH YOU WOULD JUST GO AWAY!!" Sonic was in heartache before he ran off. The only person 'who wasn't at the park and saw everything in shock' was Manic 'who felt really bad for ignoring Sonic and all but was appalled by what they did'. Once Sonic ran off, Manic followed slowly as he cast a glare at them.

<meanwhile>

Once in the motel, Sonic was in tears as he looked at the floor. All of a sudden, a creepy voice whispered, "...Sonic?" That send a shiver down his face. He looked around the lobby and to his surprise, no one was here. Sonic asked, "Wh-where's everyone?" The lights went out and Sonic gasped in fright. He whimpered as he took a step. Then a dim light in the hallway was suddenly turned on after another. One by one the dim lights turned on like a path. Then to Sonics horror, the same figure walked in. It was a male Lynx with dark grey fur and sharp claws with black boots and black gloves. He looked at Sonic with pitch black eyes and showed a toothy grin. He gasped as Sonic felt frozen. The echoes of laughter filled the room but the loudest was the Lynx. Sonic could only stare are the Lynx as he speeds towards Sonic and Sonic himself screamed as he closed his eyes and uses his arms to block. Suddenly a hand was placed on his shoulder and a familiar voice said, "SONIC!!" The blue hedgehog opened his eyes and looked around and everything was normal. He heavily breathed and he sees Manic behind him. Sonic asked, "What do you want? Come to express your reasons to hate me too?" Manic replied just after he shook his head no, "No. I'm here to apologize. I'm sorry for ignoring you and everything bro. I wanted a Sonic free vacation too but I didn't wanna hurt you. It's not really I..." He trailed as he look down. Sonic looked away and said with a sigh, "I forgive but...I..." He was visibly shaking and that alarmed Manic. That's when Manic asked, "Sonic what's wrong?" Sonic replied quickly as he turn to him with the same eyes he had earlier, "Nothing!" Manic 'not buying it' said, "Your shaking like a leaf Sonic. I need to know what's going on. You look pale and you got spooked at the bathroom last week. You also are not sleeping well." Sonic said nothing before Manic said in concern, "Sonic look whatever's troubling you, I promise I won't do this again plus I'm worried about you. I mean you look like you seen the living dead. I promise I will help you out." Sonic sighed deeply and said, "Your probably going to think I'm crazy." Manic protested, "Crazy or not I need to know what's going on." Sonic let out a defeated sigh and said, "Come to my room. If your true to your word then follow me. I'm scared big bro." Manic had a sad look as he followed Sonic.

<a short while later>

After entering Sonics room, Sonic told Manic the whole story of what happened. Manic thought it was crazy but after hearing about the motel worker being frightened for some reason it gives him a goosebump. Manic said to Sonic, "So this room has a dark history to it and the motel worker 'who was with you' didn't say why?" Sonic nodded and said while shaking, "I'm scared. I feel like someone's watching me. I kept seeing blood, the Lynx that has been following me, being paralyzed to the bone, and now I'm getting worst. It's making me have less sleep. I dunno who to turn to." He sobbed as Manic placed a hand on his shoulder. Manic said to him, "It's okay bro. It's okay. Listen, I'll tell you what, I'll find out some info about this room. I'll see whether or not it's haunted." Sonic felt a little better but still felt frightened. Sonic asked, "Uhh Manic. Remind me again why Sonia didn't join us?" Manic replied, "Not sure dude but we'll probably find out." Sonic sighed deeply before Manic thought as he hugged him while feeling a cold chill, "Something must've stalked him. I feel like eyes are looking at him. I need to confront that worker Sonic was with." Though things were going to go worst than that.
