Chapter 16 - Mighty Falls

Knuckles was laying on the bed still in shock.

It was about 3 days since Amy's blindness, Silvers accident, Rouges death, and Tails sudden attack.

But all he can think about is Sonic and his recent behavior.

He wasn't real happy and was too heartbroken to sleep.

He was in a state of shock.

He asked himself, "How...? How could he do that to me?"

He then sat up 'thinking one more time wouldn't hurt'.

He sighed deeply before he looked up. He said to himself, "Geez. I better hope Sonic forgives me this time."

When he got up he took a deep breath before heading out.

(A short while later)

Knuckles just arrived at room 1028.

He knocked on the door but nothing 'he assumed Sonic went on a run'. So he waited.

(Meanwhile)

Mighty The Armadillo walked around.

He wondered around at night 'hoping to see Sonic so he can apologize'.

But unfortunately it would only lead him to his death.

When he entered the hotel, he looked to see everyone was not here.

He sees a shadowy figure go up the stairs as Mighty 'unfortunately' let his curiosity get the better of him.

He followed the shadowy figure up the top of the roof.

Mighty let out a 'huh' in confusion before he looked around the roof and said as he walked away from the door, "That was weird. I coulda sworn I saw someone coming up here."

That was when he heard the door slammed behind him as he gasped seeing the door closed shut.

Mighty rushed to it and tried to open it but failed.

Mighty tried to pry it off but failed.

He panted and tried to call one of his friends but to his shock there was no signal.

It was strange cause the hotel has excellent signal and reception.

Mighty asked as he looked around, "What's going on?!"

He rushed to the roof and shouted, "HELP!! I'M STUCK!!"

No one heard him as if someone was controlling time and freezing.

Mighty was in a panic. He checked his phone again and to his shocked 'still no signal'.

That was when he gasped 'feeling someone holding his neck'.

He tried to get whoever was holding his neck but to his horror he felt his own neck.

He was forced to turn around as he sees Sonic with orchid eyes looking at him with vengeful and hateful eyes.

Mighty wanted to say something but was he couldn't.

Sonic-Cayden asked in a mocking tone 'in Cayden's voice', "Awww what's the matter armadillo? Cat got your tongue? Or is it a lynx that has your neck?"

He chuckled evilly as Mighty said in horror, "S-S-Sonic... I-I'm sorry. D-don't do this..."

He had then had a more angered expression as his eyes widened in hate.

Mightys eyes widened and said as Sonic-Cayden lifted him up, "I-It's not right... S-Something wrong.. W-Who are you...? Wh-Where is Sonic? Wh-what did you do to him?"

Sonic-Cayden smirked as he snickered and replied, "What do you care?! You hate him!! Sayonara Mother-Sucker!!"

Sonic-Cayden levitate him over the edge as Mighty begged Sonic-Cayden to spare him before Sonic-Cayden's orchid eyes glowed wildly.

He then said with a sickening smile, "Hope you know how to fly cause it's time to earn your wings Mother-Sucker!"

He cackled as he dropped Mighty as he fell to his death.

Last thing he saw before his head landed with a thud was Sonic-Cayden smirking at him with his orchid eyes looking at him.

Mighty whispered in fear, "Who are you...?"

He then landed on his head as his body landed with a loud and cracked thud.

His phone was cracked and broken next to him.

The world turned black as Mighty said weakly, "I-I'm sorry..."

Sonic-Cayden left as he chuckled as he muttered, "Soaring... My love. Our vengeance will be ours and we will be together again."

Mightys body was discovered by Sally and Marine and they were scared to death.

By the time one of the staff members called an ambulance it was too late for him.
