It wasn't long until Knuckles was possessed by Soaring.
Knuckles eyes were a tangerine color just like Soarings.
Knuckles-Soaring float out of the woods and back to the hotel.
(Meanwhile with Cayden)
Cayden-Sonic started laughing as the four were now unconscious.
Sonic-Cayden walks to them before he said, "It is time you finally rid of you meddling peasants once and for all!!"
He laughed as he tightened their throats.
But it was soon interrupted with Knuckles shadow behind the possessed hedgehog.
Cayden-Sonic said as he slowly turned around, "Oh come back for more hu...?!"
He trailed off as he sees the eyes of the only person he cared about.
Knuckles-Soaring said to him, "Cayden please stop this."
Sonic-Cayden turned around completely as he softly said, "S-Soaring...? Is that you?"
Knuckles-Soaring answered with a nod, "Yes Cayden. It's me. Please Cayden stop this madness. This isn't what I wanted."
Sonic-Cayden growled before he calmed down and whispered, "Oh... I-I don't know Soaring. I-I love you. I'm so sorry I wasn't able to protect you that day."
Sonic-Cayden walks to him after landing on his feet.
Knuckles-Soaring runs to him with a saddened look on his face.
Sonic-Cayden then said as he hugged him, "I wished I protected you. If I was strong enough. I woulda gotten to you on time and we woulda had a good life together."
Knuckles-Soaring replied, "We still can. You and me together. We can still have an afterlife together. But I can't rest until you are with me."
Sonic-Cayden looking at him as he had tears while Knuckles-Soaring looked at him.
Sonic-Cayden asked with a smile as his grudge was let go, "Ready to go baby?"
Knuckles-Soaring answered, "Of course Cayden. Let's go together."
That was when it happened. The two ghosts shined inside both bodies before both Cayden and Soarings ghost slipped out of Sonic and Knuckles bodies and the two went up together.
At the same moment, Manic and the others woke up with a groan in time to see the spirits move on.
Knuckles eyes were back to normal as Sonic collapsed onto the ground.
Knuckles shouted his name as Manic, Tails, and his friends rushed to him.
Sonic was okay but he was swearing and panting.
Knuckles sighed deeply and said, "He's fine... He's just exhausted. I hope he's okay."
Knuckles thought while looking at Sonic, "I care and love him so much."
