Chapter 11 - Why her?

Knuckles and Tails stayed at the hospital Amy is in, until her oldest sister 'Arizona' arrived. Joining her is Alex Rose 'who was worried about her as well'.

Arizona walked to the doctor and asked, "Where's my little sister?!" The doctor asked as she looked at her, "Are you two family of Amy Rose?" Alex replied to her without hesitation, "Yes! Where is she?! Is Amy okay?!" Arizona told her to calm down 'in a stern tone' before Arizona turn to the doctor and asked, "Doctor is my sister okay? What happened to Amy?" The doctor looked down in hesitation before she explained the whole terrifying details.

When she finished explaining, the two Rose sisters were horrified. Alex started to go hysterics before she tried to rush to Amy. But Arizona stopped her and said, "Alex! Stop!" Alex protested with tears, "Let me go! I need to see her! She's our sister!" Arizona replied in tears herself, "I understand Alex, but we haft to wait. We are all worried as much as you are."

Though The doctor told them that they can see Amy though Knuckles and Tails followed.

Once they arrived, Amy was in her bed crying that she will never see again. Alex shouted her name and rushed to her. She jumped into the bed and hugged her in tears. Amy asked nervously, "A-Alex? Is that you?" Alex replied, "Yes big sis, it's me! M-me and Arizona are here. We're here to take you home."  Amy hugged her sister for comfort. She maybe blind but she can still feel and hear her sisters voice.

Arizona walked to Amy and said as she touched Amy's shoulder, "Good God, why would such a horrible thing happen to you?" Amy replied, "I dunno. I really don't." She cried in hysterics as Arizona held both her little sisters.

Knuckles and Tails didn't think things were this bad. All of a sudden, paramedics rushed in the hallway with a dead corpse covered in a white sheet. One of them shouted, "Out of the way!" The two got out of the way but unfortunately the nurse got in the way.

As a result, the gurney crashed into the nurse, but it also made her collide with the corpse. The nurse groaned and tried to get up but to her horror, she sees she was covered in blood and sees it was Rouge's wingless corpse.

She screamed at the top of her lungs. Knuckles and Tails were in horror when they see Rouge is dead, things went bad. Bloody bad. Alex and Arizona looked at Rouges body. Alex turned green and tried to fight back vomiting.

<a short while later>

Rouge's family 'who heard about Rouges death' arrived as they felt really scared. Amy 'who heard about it' cried in Arizonas arms. Amy asked in tears, "Oh lord, why Rouge?! Why her?!" Alex muttered to herself, "Oh God. Why did this happen?"

Rouge's little sister 'Vogue' asked, "Is she okay?!" The doctor replied as he shook his head, "No. She was dead by the time the ambulance arrived." Rouge's parents drop to the floor as Rouge's father muttered, "Oh Rouge, my poor daughter." Vogue then said as she covered her face, "My sister. Not my big sister! Rouge!"

Tails muttered, "Oh my. This is bad." Knuckles nodded in agreement. Once the family was being escorted to the morgue to identify the body, Amy was released and went home with her sisters.

Arizona said to Amy, "Don't worry, we'll take care of you little sis." Amy replied in tears, "B-big sister..." the two escorted Amy out of the hospital and into Arizona's car.

Knuckles thought to himself, "What if Tails is right? Was Manic actually trying to warn us?"
