Part 6: king of the stone world.

I'm the morning I sat by Taiju, watching him break the shells down into powder

"Wow, where is all this energy coming from?" I said watching Taiju, cheering him on

Senku ignored me and continued talking "calcium carbonate actually gets me excited."

"Excited? Get a room." I mumbled out

Senku glared at me and then put up four fingers "check it out!" He said putting up a smile now "there are four super useful things you can do with it." Senku continued "first is agriculture. We can use it to blow away the hydrogen ions in the soil, that'll be a major upgrade for the farmland."

Taiju coughed, up on a makeshift ladder thing, pouring the calcium in

"Second is construction. Heat it up and mix it with sand and you have mortar." Senku explained "mortars like a less sophisticated cement. We can use it to build houses and furnaces."

..

"Third Is hygiene. Gather calcium carbonate from seaweed and blend it with oil. And the reaction makes soap." Senku said with a block of soap in his hands that we had finished making earlier

"Soap.. I think I'll cry!" I said grabbing for the soap

Senku handed me some and continued "this world is brutal, And getting sick means game over. But a little chunk that gets rid of harmful germs is a lifesaver in a world without doctors." He looked up and smiled "you can call it 'doctor stone'"

Tsukasa looked amazed "I gotta hand it to you, Senku. You're pretty amazing."

"Hm?" Senku looked up at Tsukasa

"I mean, you freed me during a lion attack but you stayed calm and spoke clearly. I've never met anyone like you before." Tsukasa explained to him

I just nodded at this, I mean it was the truth. I was shivering in my tembers (spelling???) while Senku was calm and level headed, he was pretty amazing.

"You truly have my respect." Tsukasa finally said

I watched as Senku was scooping the calcium "for at least the last ten billion years or so almost with no exception, a man who praises another to his face is either flirting or scheming." Senku said glaring back at Tsukasa "so what are you getting at?"

'Eh? Flirting? Scheming?' I thought about it for a second, that does make sense. I mean.. Tsukasa is pretty amazing himself but..

Tsukasa smiled, it was pretty. "It's not like that. I really not doing either one of those. I was just thinking if there's anybody who could rebuild modern civilization from scratch it's you." he paused for a second "yeah. That's all I was trying to say"

They stared at eachother for what felt like forever.. it was very awkward. Very very awkward. I coughed to break the silence "so Uhmm.." I started as the two stared at me now "let's all be friends!" I finally said with a clap

"Being your friend would be an honor, Y/N." Tsukasa said with a smile.

he earned a light blush on my face, I still couldn't get what he said earlier out of my head, I looked over at Senku who seemed to be staring at me in awe

"So this is the kind of stuff you gotta do to build a civilization! Huh?" Taiju said stretching his back

"That's right. One step at a time.. the journey is a slow one for sure." Senku said turning back to the calcium "but we keep on getting closer."

"Hey, so what was that fourth thing?" Taiju looked down at Senku "you said there were four uses for the seashells, but you only told us about three."

Senku looked at taiju for a second before holding up three fingers "no, they're only three. I said three earlier, didn't I?"
