LUCAS

I had sourced enough evidence to put Royanne's uncle in jail for a long time. I mean sure I threw in a few crimes here and there but most of it was all him. I was doing the court a favor.
She had called me earlier to tell me what happened yesterday when her aunt and uncle had visited and I was proud that she took the step of telling her parents. At least that burden was lifted off her shoulders.

I had found something else to turn my attention to. Quinn and I were supposed to attend the USA GP together but she said and I quote "can't make it. I'm busy".
Even when her team won, she didn't text me anything. I had invited her to England so that we can go watch a Premier League match but she declined. Her phone wasn't going through except for the short responses. I called Tammy, who told me that Quinn was in Colombia for a while because she was terribly ill and her mother was nursing her. It still sounded off.
What could she be busy with in Colombia?

"I think it's awfully sketchy," Michie said from across my desk. She'd also been receiving the same treatment.
"The last time I talked to her was when she told he she has broken up with Demetri. I didn't even know she went to Colombia."

"You don't think there's something Tammy isn't telling us?" I asked her.

"I know there is. What if she got kidnapped by her father's enemies and they are holding her for ransom?! Or what if she got depressed after the break up and become cat lady that side. Or her mom took her to a psych ward?!"

"The funny part here is option one is more likely than anything else you've said," I humored, "and she's allergic to cats."

"Of course you'd know that, you learnt the hard way," she said while laughing. And that I did.

Quinn talked about getting a pet a few years back and I decided to get her a cat as a birthday present. She sneezed the whole week and sulked because she loved it but couldn't keep it.

"Speaking of Diamanté, if she were here, she would be busying around trying to plan your birthday party and since you missed your party last time. I'll take it upon myself to plan it while she's gone," Michie declared.

"Don't get too ahead of yourself Michelle. We're not that close," I said flatly to annoy her.

"Rude, you're getting a prune flavoured birthday cake," she huffed.

"Send it through express mail. I have work to attend to now. I'll look into the issue with Diamanté but if she's in Columbia and her father is involved, there's not much I can do," I told her.

"Okay. It's worth the effort, I'll let ya know in case of developments," she said while getting up.

"Have a good day Michelle," I said while extending my hand just to mess with her.

"Expect a skunk in the mail too," she said while grabbing her bag and leaving.

I got a hold of my PI and let him know of the matter. Hopefully my instincts are wrong this time and Quinn is okay.

I also had to come up with what to tell Takumi about why Quinn wouldn't attend his birthday party tomorrow. I could tell him what Tammy told us that she wasn't well and was in Colombia.
It wouldn't be the time to give him the gift I've been wanting to give him for the longest. But I'd try to make sure his day was great.

MARCO DE LOS RIOS
*conversations are in Spanish here on out.

It's been five days since Quinn had gone missing from her trip to town. I had many enemies who had the motive but I knew who in particular had her and why.
