Blank Spaces (A Maze Runner fanfic)

Chapter 1 (Lizzy's P.O.V)

All I could remember was being cold and darkness. I was afraid. I didn't know where I was or why or how. I woke up quickly, gasping as I did. I can barely see anything around me. My sister, Alice, is asleep a few feet away from me. I can't remember anything, questions start to fill my head.
"Wake up!" I yell, shaking my sister awake. She's the only person I can remember. I remember basic facts, but not how I learned them or who taught them to me. All I could remember was my name, her name, and that she was my sister. She jerks awake and the box we woke up in shakes and makes a horrible screeching sound. It starts to move. Alice suddenly attacks me, pushing me against the wall. She quickly backs away, realizing it's me.
"What the hell was that for?" I say.
"Sorry," she replies. "I didn't realize it was you. Where are we exactly?"
"I have no idea. Honestly, remembering isn't my best ability right now."
My sister starts to pound on the walls, kicking and punching away. Her fist is bloody. I shake my head slightly and back into the corner and sit down. Alice continues to bang on the walls. It feels like an eternity passes but it only could have been 20 minutes. Why are we here? And more importantly, where is here? I feel like crying but nothing comes. I want this to be over, the continued horrible grinding and pounding of my sister.
"You're gonna break the thing!" I yell at my sister. I hear her sit down. She screams every time the box we're trapped in shakes and I hear her begin to cry. The room shakes one last time and stops. Everything stops, and it's silent. There a ringing in my ears. My sister pulls me up and starts pounding on the walls screaming for help. I join in. We scream for forever. Nothing. Alice gives up and sits down. I am about to sit next to her when she falls over, unconscious. I scream with a slightly hoarse voice,"Alice!"
