The darkness remains. Sounds are hazy and I can barely feel anything. From what I can hear and feel my sister is on me and shaking me, screaming through tears for me to wake up. I'm trying but I can't. I still feel like everything is spinning around me. I feel like I've been, what's it called? Drugged that's it. I feel like I've been drugged. Suddenly, another terrible sound breaks my self-pity. A screeching sound, then the backs of my eyelids turn red. I'm guessing the doors above us have just been opened. I try and shake myself awake, but all I manage is a pathetic twitch. There is a gasp from above. I can hear slight murmurs passing from above. The sound of my sister crying still powers over them all. The murmurs pass through the crowd above. I catch fragments.
"What's going on"
"Is that crying?"
"Why aren't they letting us see"
All of this is confusing me. I just wish I could wake up. A thump is heard close to my head and the box shakes dramatically. Then I hear a voice. It has a thick accent. It sounds like British.
"There's two," I hear the voice say. More murmuring. The weight of my sister is off of me in a second and I hear her fighting to get out. Somehow she does but I here her quick footsteps running away. So she just left me! Next thing I know I feel warm hands on my skin made cool by the metal. The arms lift me and set me up on a hard ground. The burst of fresh air is surprising. A deeper voice cut through my thoughts.
"Med-Jacks!"
Med-Jacks? What the hell were those. Suddenly, all the control of my body came back. I sat up and looked around. All of them were boys. "Don't worry," it's the British voice again,"everything will be ok."
