Park Chaeyoung doesn't think much when she sends a picture of her dog in return with a cheeky "Hankie Approves, he wants to watch his mum hard at work!" but to her surprise, she gets a text back saying that he was on his way. She feels confused as she texts him a bunch of question marks, only for them to go unanswered.

He couldn't be, right?

Yet somehow, she still found herself wrapping her arms around her puppy and holding him tight, suddenly her thoughts about her earlier date were quickly dismissed by thoughts of her boss coming over. When the realisation finally hits, she quickly gets up and rushes to the living room, tidying up what was probably considered semi-chaos from all the policy briefs and reports she'd brought home.

Not long after that, she rushes to the bathroom, looking at herself in the mirror almost instantly regretting the fact that she'd showered and did her skincare right after arriving home.

She didn't think she was ugly, but for some reason, a small part of her felt shy, knowing he'd see her bare-faced and casually in her pyjamas.

Amid her panic, the sound of the doorbell suddenly rings and the blonde quickly rushes through the living room, picking up her puppy before opening the door.

Her eyes barely get a chance to look at him when her dog quickly begins to bark, earning a soft pout from him.

"I came all the way here for you," he cooes playfully at her dog, "... and this is how you treat me? I'm offended."

Park Chaeyoung can't help but let out a brief giggle before bending over and letting her dog on the ground.

"Hank is like that around good looking and rich people," she jokes.

"And which one am I?" He retorts.

Hank instantly rushed to Jeon Jungkook and began violently barking at him at first, before smelling him for a couple of moments and then suddenly, resting himself on his leg.

The pair can't help but laugh at the moment.

It's only then that she has a moment to really see him, still clad in his office attire but without a tie and his hair somewhat messy.

"How did you even get here so fast?" She asks, crossing her arms over her chest, "... and all because I sent a picture of my puppy?"

"The cutest puppy in the world," he corrects matter-of-factly before his eyes look to her, smiling, "... just like his mom."

Park Chaeyoung blushes, feeling her cheeks turn red before she turns her body around and picks up her dog, "... well, since you're here... should we have some wine? You're still in your work clothes so I'm guessing you need the alcohol more than me."

It was unlike him to send such an abrupt and strange message, but for the entire evening, he'd tried to distract himself with work to keep his mind off the fact that she was literally on a date with another man. Each attempt failed. Jeon Jungkook could barely even read a page without wondering what they were doing—did they decide to try to get together?

To be honest, Jeon Jungkook didn't mean to press send. His mind was going crazy from the number of times he'd typed a message, only to delete and rephrase it and somehow started off as a "... don't forget to send the speech tomorrow morning" ended up being a dog meme.

He shuddered at the thought as he reread the message, face falling in horror when he saw that she'd read it.

But to his surprise, it seemed to work.

Perhaps the higher power in heaven was beginning to feel sorry for him.

And there he was, sitting on her couch with her dog (who initially hated him) sitting on his lap as she sits beside him, a blanket wrapped over her knees as they watch a movie. The pair had talked for a bit, only their conversation eventually went to work and that was when she decided that they should watch an episode of The Glory instead, to wind down for the night.

But he wasn't paying attention, at all.

He could feel his heart thumping, as he was dying to know how she felt, how her date with her ex-husband went.

Park Chaeyoung turns and looks at his lap, her face shocked to see her dog resting peacefully on him.

"Hank doesn't like strangers," she comments, "... but he seems to have chosen you."

Jeon Jungkook wonders whether there's some sort of hidden meaning in her words.

"Hank was playing a little hard to get, earlier on," he joked, "... he's just protective over his mom."

She lets out a soft chuckle, "... you think so?"

"Of course, he has the most beautiful owner in the world."

It was the fifth time that week and Park Chaeyoung hasn't been able to face him properly since.

Even at work, her mind would slowly think of him—his long fingers, grazing against her lips or his strong hands, carrying her towards the bedroom.

Park Chaeyoung is shocked at her own thoughts, and the vivid dreams that have been plaguing her dreams ever since he'd come over and met her pet dog. And it seemed as though each dream was becoming more vivid than the next.

Am I really fantasising about my boss? The PRESIDENT of the country?

For the last couple of days, she'd tried to reduce contact with him. After meetings, she'd quickly rush off and lie to her team about how she needed to use the bathroom, and she'd purposely checked that the hallways were clear before leaving her table.

Somehow, she can't face him, even if the dreams were not in her control.

The entire office is having a monthly meeting and as she makes her way to the small refreshments table and gets herself a pastry, she feels his touch against her back.

"I want one too Miss Park," he requests, his voice sending goosebumps against her neck, "... can you get me one too?"

Park Chaeyoung turns slightly, seeing him holding out a small plate.

Somehow, his hands were shaky as she picked up the tongs and serves him one before turning around.

"Aren't you going to get one for yourself?" He holds his hand out and looks to her confused, "... are you okay? You're red. Do you have a fever?"

Suddenly, all eyes were on her.

And all she could think about was how she herself didn't know, whether there was something wrong.

It was the first time she'd ever experienced it—all she could think of was him.

Like he'd put a curse on her.

All she thought of was him.

And all her dreams were filled with him.

Park Chaeyoung doesn't know what was happening, at all.
