Jane's POV

I was up at 5:00 am again. I didn't get much sleep anyway. I spent most of the night reading to avoid the nightmares. The sleep I did get was filled with scary visions and sights that made me sweat. I sat up in the bed, rubbing the sleep from my eyes. My arm felt like it was being pricked by pins and needles, my head ached with exhaustion and my calves ached under the fresh bandages. But a smile was permanently glued on my face from my afternoon Kid Flash.

Our afternoon together was amazing and we could possibly have another one since I would be here for a while.

My mind travels back to what happened after my adventure with Wally yesterday.

FLASHBACK

"We have set up a software tracking your rights" Aqualad explained. "When it locates it we shall go and retrieve it".

"And were almost positive we'll be able to find out who you are at that location" Miss Martian cheers.

"That's great!" Wally says smiling. "You can go back to wherever you're supposed to be".

"What's the catch?" I ask raising my eyebrows.

"It's gonna take awhile" Robin explains. "3 to 4 days maximum".

"Theres always a catch" Wally joshes.

"Well, what do I do till then?" I ask.

"You're gonna stay here obviously" Aqualad says.

"Hello Megan!' she says hitting her head, as if me staying at the cave was obvious.

"Whose Mega-?" I start to ask but Red cuts me off.

"Of course you are gonna stay with us!" he says excitedly.

"Kid Flash maybe I should just go to one of the safe houses that the lab has set up" I reason.

"It's Wally. You can call me Wally" he states. "And your crazy if you think we are gonna let you stay in the house set up by torturers".

"What am I supposed to do here?" I wonder aloud. Gesturing around me to the vast space.

"Um chill out" Wally suggests.

"Train" Aqualad says. "The Justice League has decided you should train here until we are able to send you home".

"She could train with us!" Miss MArtian says excitedly.

"And we could get more ice cream" Wally says and I smile.

"Well, guys I guess I am your new roommate" I respond with a shrug.

END FLASHBACK

I look over to my bedside table. The drab room finally had some color to it with the piece of coral on my bedside.

I pick up the coral and run my fingers over the grooves. Despite what I have been through I couldn't stop smiling. The park, the beach, the ice cream shop, the mountain side. The heat rises to my cheeks. I the idea of being that close to him made me feel jumpy.

My hands burn and I quickly put the coral down. My smile fades when I see small scorched areas in the shapes of my fingertips.

I shook my head clear of the memory. That can't happen again. I stare at the burn marks and pull myself out of bed.

I get dressed in a pair of dark blue yoga pants and with a black sports bra/ shirt that wrapped around my neck. The baggy t-shirts and sweat pants were getting irritating considering the fact it was 80 something degrees in this town. Why I had such an exposing shirt was beyond me. I glance towards the bag of clothes Wally had brought me.
