Chapter 18
Jane's POV (July 31st 2011,20:40, the Facility in Arizona)
A hatch opens up in the red floor and the team falls through the hatch. I follow them through the hatch and land on the roof of some building. I look around and see desert as far as the eye can see.
"Where are we?" I ask to no one in particular.
"Arizona" Wally responds.
"How did we get here so fast?" I ask.
"Magic" Wally states with a smile.
"Miss Martian link us up" Aqualad orders. Miss Martian blinks and suddenly I hear her voice in my head. For a second I think I'm going crazy, wait I probably am. But that's not why her voice is in my head.
"We're Linked" Miss Martian states. Oh right Miss Martian had the whole telepath thing going for her.
Robin is on the ground removing a grate off the vent. He tosses Wally a screwdriver.
"Get the other one it leads to the west end of the building" Robin says pointing to a vent on the other side of the roof.
Wally dashes to the vent, when I finish blinking Wally is laying the vent cover softly on the ground
"I've narrowed it down between two rooms" Robin explains. "Both on different ends of the building".
"OK, so we split up!" Miss Martian says. "Half go east, half go west!"
"Kid Flash, Jane, and Robin will go East" Aqualad orders. "The rest of us will head to the west".
"Let's do this!" I say cracking my knuckles. I start walking to the eastern vent but then Wally steps in front of me giving me a look.
"Careful Jane" Wally warns as he steps in front of me.
"I can take care of myself" I argue going to step around him, but he moves in front of me.
"Just remember to think before you do something stupid" Wally warns.
"I'm not going to do something stupid" I say crossing my arms in a huff.
"We know you can you knock us down on our backs" Wally whispers. "But I feel like you would make some stupid decisions"
I haven't even known the guy a week and he thinks he can tell me what to do. I suck in a breath and let it out. I stare at his smirking face and my heart jumps. That stupid smirk made me want to smile.
Remember Jane, don't give yourself anything good. You're only doing yourself a favor.
"Fine" I sigh. "You're probably right". Wally flashes me a toothy smile when I concede.
"Okay guys we have to get a move on, we are gonna miss our window" Robin says.
"Come on let's get rid of those chains around your leg" Wally says nudging my shoulder a little bit. Before he slides down the vent that leads into the building

Robin's POV (July 31st 2011,20:45, Orbital Systems Facility in Arizona)
I slid down the vent and land in a crouch in the middle of an empty hall. I catch the shadow of a guard disappearing down the hall. Kid Flash lands behind me and is followed by a stumbling Jane. I check my wrist holomonitor for our location in the facility.
"The file room is just down the way" I say pointing down the hall.
"Wait!" Jane says grabbing my arm and almost immediately letting go. "We broke into a building to get into a file room".
